Politicians have always been a different breed. When normal Americans screw up, we own that mistake, make our apologies, and make a sincere effort to do better. Politicians, on the other hand, have their first instinct to weigh the political effects of their actions, then, if need be, try to figure out how to distance themselves from it. Both parties are guilty, but in recent years, a transformation has been taking place among Democrats. It may have been taking place for years, but now, they are no longer hiding it.
I don’t want to ever hear any democrat from Maine say anything about morals again. They just proved morality is irrelevant.

On Tuesday night, Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner easily defeated his opponents with 72 percent of the vote to become the Democratic nominee in November to take on Republican Sen. Susan Collins. Besides Maine voters, Americans in general have been treated to Platner's "colorful" past. America's introduction to Graham Platner was the Nazi tattoo, more specifically, a Totenkopf, which was associated with the German SS. Platner stated that he didn't know what it was when he got it, and has since covered it up. Millions of people get tattoos, no problem. But very few of those people will tell you that those tats do not have meaning for them.

Then, we heard about former girlfriends coming forward who made claims of physical abuse. One claimed he twisted her arm behind her back and locked her in a bedroom. Then we heard about sexually explicit text messages being sent to women who were not his wife. Platner has denied all the allegations. Maine voters were obviously not rattled by the Nazi tattoo or claims of abusive behavior by ex-girlfriends.
But let's take a trip back in time to the 1980 Democratic Presidential Primary. President Jimmy Carter had a lot of problems. Inflation, gas lines, and hostages in Iran that didn't look like they were coming home any time soon. Because of all of that, Carter found himself with a primary opponent in Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy. Anyone with the name Kennedy might have made Carter sweat just a little, except for one thing: a place called Chappaquiddick.
All it took was Democrats losing elections for their true nature to be exposed. Democrats support racism, terrorists, abuse towards women, and predators who prey on teenagers. Democrats are hypocrites. https://t.co/6C3BOLdZpQ

In July of 1969, Kennedy, then a young Senator, drove off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island into a pond. Kennedy managed to escape the submerged car, but his passenger, 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne, did not. Kennedy failed to report the accident for 10 hours. Kopechne drowned. Fast forward to 1980, and Kennedy's White House run. While Massachusetts voters were seemingly not troubled by the incident, having reelected him numerous times to the Senate, it was just too much for the rest of America. Even in 1969, after the incident, most Americans felt he was not telling the truth or not telling all of the truth. On a national level, the incident would come back to haunt him for the rest of his life.
So, what has changed so dramatically about Americans, specifically Democrats, since 1980? At the top is the Democrats' insatiable thirst for power, any way they can get it. Being out of power cripples them, and they have announced what they will do should they take control of the House and Senate after the midterm elections. What it amounts to is revenge against those who support Donald Trump. Which brings us to the second point, Donald Trump himself. Since he came down the escalator in Trump Tower, Trump has literally broken the Democratic Party. So much so that he can say things that he knows will send them into fits of rage just for sport. They never fail to disappoint every time he does.

But the most disturbing thing, and it is so obvious, is the total lack of a moral compass. It comes when power is all you care about. The same party that claimed to care about women just selected an alleged abuser. The same party that claims to care about minorities just selected a guy with a Nazi tattoo, all while calling Donald Trump and his supporters Nazis. This is a party that rejects any semblance of a moral code, combined with a media whose shameless tribalism would downplay it, and somehow, today, make Kennedy the victim, and social media where Kennedy's supporters would reign supreme.
Democrats are not getting any better anytime soon. The party that wouldn't elect Ted Kennedy is long gone.
Democrats do not have any morals at all. The more perverted you are the more the democrats will embrace perversion acts and behavior!their moral compass is broken!
