In late July, I shared with RedState readers the perilous tale of O: The Oprah Magazine, which will stop publishing as a print publication after the December issue. It’s unclear why exactly the magazine has decided to stop the presses, but I opined that it might have something to do with the president of the company that co-founded Oprah’s lifestyle periodical being forced to step down, after several allegations emerged that he sexually harassed female staffers and otherwise brought about a “toxic” work environment for employees.
Now, it looks like Oprah just hopped out of the frying pan and into the air fryer.
As my colleague Mike Miller reported earlier,
On an episode of “The Oprah Conversation” titled “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man: Part 1,” Winfrey and former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho interviewed white guests, obviously included for the sole purpose of admitting they were racist — even if they were previously unaware of it — as reported by The Blaze.
As Mike mentioned, the mega-producer-actress-TV show host billionairess was joined by Acho, about whom, earlier on Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh told his massive, nationally-syndicated radio audience was “some football player no one’s ever heard of.” As the kids on Twitter like to say, “Where’s the lie?”
If you want to see the video clip, it’s over on Mike’s piece, which I encourage you to read in full. Here’s what Oprah told the audience:
“There are white people who are not as powerful as the system of white people — the caste system that’s been put in place — but they still, no matter where they are on the rung, or the ladder of success, they still have their whiteness […] (Whites have a) leg up.
You still have your whiteness. That’s what the term ‘white privilege’ is. It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage, no matter. It is the fundamental issue.”
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) weighed in on Oprah’s “lecture” about so-called “white privilege,” telling his Twitter followers early on Wednesday morning that they’re “utter, racist B.S.”
Cruz wrote:

What utter, racist BS.
