While Americans prepare to celebrate the long, Memorial Day weekend, the Democratic Party appears to be in quite a pickle. Just a day ago, they had a scheme hatched to own the narrative all weekend long — a neat trick that can only happen over holiday weekends, when news outlets have nothing better to report on.

As I shared with you all Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had their balloon burst, when their “gotcha” letter to President Donald Trump on lowering flags to commemorate 100,000 Americans dying of the Wuhan flu was defused by just two tweets.

But it’s failed even worse than any of us could have imagined. As my colleagues Bonchie and Sister Toldjah reported earlier on Friday, all of the oxygen has been sucked out of the room by presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s disastrous comments in a interview with radio host Charlamagne Tha God on Friday morning.

As ST wrote:

[Biden] actually told Charlamagne, who is black, that “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

Fallout from the his comments was immediate after the story broke, with #YouAintBlack, #JoeBidenIsARacist, and Charlamagne trending high:

Meanwhile, the ultra-clunky, Astroturf hashtag #FocusOnTheTrumpDeathToll100K isn’t doing so well:

How hilarious is it that the Democrats thought they could make “100,000 Americans are dead from the Wuhan virus, and it’s Trump’s fault” the top story this weekend, and now #YouAintBlack, #JoeBidenIsARacist, and Charlamagne are trending?
