We knew Fox News was far more popular than its competition, but did you know exactly how much more popular? The Washington Times reports that the least watched show on Fox News, “Fox News at Night with Shannon Bream,” still takes in more viewers than the most watched show on CNN, “Anderson Cooper 360.” Dang.
Bream’s show has an average of 1.5 million viewers per night, while Anderson’s has only 1.1 million, which means that, not only does Bream have more viewers, she has close to 50 percent more viewers. For comparison, Hannity has more than 3 million watching every night.
In the first quarter of 2018, CNN’s viewership was down 17 percent, and none of their shows were in the top 20 cable shows. Meanwhile, Fox News was the most-watched basic cable network in the first quarter of 2018. That’s 7 in a row. 12 of the top 20 cable news programs? They’re on Fox News. The other 8 are split between CNN and MSNBC. That has to hurt.
