Report: US Army Mandates Training to Help Soldiers Shake off Their Sex 'Assigned at Birth'

Do you remember when your mother’s doctor gave you an assignment? I’m referring, of course, to your sex.

It was a bold move and burdensome — most assignments don’t last a lifetime.

For those unfamiliar with the idea, join the U.S. Army to be brushed up.

The Washington Free Beacon has reportedly obtained slides from a brand-spanking “Policy on the Military Service of Transgender Persons and Persons with Gender Dysphoria” training presentation.

Last month, officers were educated so they might school their subordinates.

The material was provided by “a high-ranking officer in the Army Special Forces.”

Per an official representative, the required training will inform “Army personnel on the recent changes to the DoD and Army transgender service policy.”

All Army personnel, from soldiers to commanders and supervisors, are required to participate in the training by Sept. 30, 2022, according to the spokesman.

If you weren’t aware, last June, the Army announced all soldiers may openly serve in accordance with their gender identity.

Army directive 2021-22 changes the service’s retention, separation, in-service transition, and medical care standards for transgender personnel and refines entry criteria for individuals with gender dysphoria, following Department of Defense guidance, said Maj. Gen. Douglas F. Stitt, military personnel management director.

“People are the strength of our Army,” Stitt said Tuesday. “Our ability to assess and retain qualified personnel provides a more diverse and stronger Army, enhancing readiness.”

Of course, nothing creates a stronger Army aside from better means by which to thwart, penetrate, and destroy things. But these are the days of language as symbolism rather than conveyance of fact.

We’re a softer society, and the military’s attempting to undo its unrefined rep:

The new training purportedly provides several transgender-related scenarios along with the proper response.

Back to the Beacon:

In one situation, a “soldier who was assigned male at birth says he identifies as a female,” “lives as a female in his off-duty hours,” and “is not requesting to be treated as a female while on duty.” In that case, the soldier should be treated with dignity and respect and no further action is required.

If the transgender soldier, however, “later requests to be identified as a female during duty hours and/or experiences increased distress relating to his gender identity,” the officer in charge must “inform [the] soldier of the Army’s transgender policy and recommend that he sees a military medical provider.”

Across the board, Uncle Sam’s sexual tune has changed.

As I covered Thursday, NASA recently asked employees to list their chosen names — regardless of legal documents — as well as their preferred pronouns.

Concerning the Armed Forces, our branches are waving in the wind of wokeness:

One more Army training scenario:

[Also] included in the presentation, a “soldier is assigned female at birth. She tells her first sergeant that she identifies as male and would like to be treated as a male. She has not yet seen a military medical provider.”

In this situation, Army leaders are ordered to “inform [the] soldier that the Army recognizes a soldier’s gender by the soldier’s gender marking in DEERs,” or the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, a massive database that tracks military members. The soldier, according to the presentation, will be expected to meet the uniform, grooming, and physical readiness standards associated with their recognized gender.

The soldier will then be sent to a military medical provider who can determine whether “gender transition is medically necessary.”

As for being “assigned at birth,” the particular wording serves as a substantial statement. Of course, a newborn’s sex is observed, not assigned. But the new nomenclature creates cohesion with our increasingly accepted option of “gender reassignment surgery.”

Now, every American can be assigned and also reassigned.

Whatever your pronouns or gender identity — whether you be a him, zir, bunself…no matter if you’re a woman, pony, or gender-fluid demon doll — we’re all being reassigned: to a new country with a new attitude.

Regarding government, when wokeness has hit the military — an organization whose purpose is as far from social engineering as any could be — we can be assured it’s seeped into the walls of all the hallowed halls of America.
