Kirstie Alley is, in my view, quite a complex and interesting Hollywood presence.
On one hand, she’s a Scientologist — conventional wisdom says, in Tinseltown, they can’t be ridiculed.
On the other, she’s a Trump supporter — it seems that’s Hollywoodspeak for “leper.” And those people, it appears, are meant to be cacophonously condemned.
On Monday, the actress — once star of a 7-time top ten prime time television mammoth — guested on Fox News program Hannity to talk about her plight as she’s announced she’s voting for Donald Trump.
Hannity noted she tends to get some negative response:
“I hope you rot in hell.”
“You don’t have a brain.”
Kirstie’s grown accustomed to being…cursed-y:
“[T]hey always attack the same three things — that, you know, I’m a fat, irrelevant scientologist. So, but you know, this has been going on for 40 years, so I’m sort of prepared.”
The entertainer said most of the opposition comes in the form of (mere?) personal insults, and she lets it roll off her back:
“That really is basically all they have to offer, so I honestly don’t take it too personally. Because I feel that people are angry and they have the right to say what they want to say, and I have the right to block them if I don’t like the way they speak.”
She’s certainly been gettin’ em riled up for quite a while over Donald J.
Imagine the popped veins from this:

As I covered in March, she surely caused some fits by thanking the Commander-in-Chief for his strength amid the pandemic:
“Dear Mr. President, @realDonaldTrump, I wanted to thank you for ur recent decorum, sincerity, & care towards us. You’re taking charge & leading in a manner needed & wanted for this country. I highly commend you for ur boundless energy & willingness to solve problems. Thank you.”

On Saturday, she explained why she’s pulling the lever for Trump yet again — it’s partly his pedigree, and also his promptness:
“I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it.”

And, again, backsplash:
Just a shame that the things he gets done quickly are racism and leaving hundreds of thousands dead

Speaking with Sean, Kirstie pointed to the fact that, in times past, presidents and politicians didn’t have to be of the career variety:
“We have a history in this country of people, not as much currently, but of people of different occupations like farmers and tailors and oilmen and businessmen and generals coming in and servicing our country as the president of the United States and even many of them when they left, they went back to their other job.”
As noted by The Daily Caller, Alley said she likes the Leader of the Free World because he “has a lot of energy … he has more energy than any human being I’ve actually ever seen, and I think that the big thing that I was mentioning in that tweet was that I’m really tired of career politicians.”
He’s certainly energized.
She must be as well — it probably takes a lot of energy to take the heat.
Or perhaps it’s something more — maybe, as observed by media analyst Mark Dice, the Star Trek II actress has…spaceballs:
Kirstie Ally has bigger balls than anyone in Hollywood. Anyone else wanna speak up? Or are you going to jut continue being traitors to America?

Could be.
