So you guys don’t know what to make of this either, do you?

After Monday’s shocker that Fox News personality, Sean Hannity, was the mystery “third client” of Trump fixer, Michael Cohen, you have to wonder how Fox News would handle it.

For his part, Hannity attempted to blow off the controversy by saying he and Cohen had been friends for years, and any business they had was minor.

“I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective,” Hannity said, adding that the conversations “dealt almost exclusively about real estate.”

Ok.

He also said something about tossing $10 at Cohen and expecting attorney-client privilege for it.

Nothing about that sounds right.

Judge Kimba Woods apparently agrees, as she ordered Cohen to reveal the name of his mystery client in open court.

Reporters present in the courtroom said that everyone in attendance audibly gasped.

Today, Fox released a statement.

“While FOX News was unaware of Sean Hannity’s informal relationship with Michael Cohen and was surprised by the announcement in court yesterday, we have reviewed the matter and spoken to Sean and he continues to have our full support,” the network said.

So they were as taken aback as everyone else.

On Monday night’s program, Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard University law professor, chastised Hannity for keeping his connection to Cohen secret, while railing against the investigation surrounding him, on air.

Fox is standing behind him now, but there’s likely far more than simple real estate deals and an occasional $10 passing hands.
