Karoline Leavitt Slam-Dunks Question About SAVE Act and Women Voters

After four years of Jen "Circle-Back" Psaki and Karine "Challenging Kamala Harris for Queen of Word Salad Title" Jean-Pierre as White House press secretaries, Karoline Leavitt is a huge breath of fresh air. (No, I don't mean that she's huge, just that, by comparison - oh, you can figure it out.)

On Friday, we got to see her field a question about the SAVE Act with her usual aplomb. Here she is, speaking in response to the claim that the Act could result in married women who haven't updated their IDs since changing their names being denied the opportunity to vote.

She replied:

This is the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, I believe I'm getting that correct. And this act is a common-sense measure, it would require proof of citizenship for voting in our elections. The Democrats have been fear-mongering about this bill. (They) have been saying that a married woman, if their name had changes, if they didn't change it on their identification, that they would not be able to vote.

That is complete fallacy, there are outlined in the bill about how to avoid that. The president very much supports a common-sense solution to ensuring that only citizens can engage in our elections. This is critical to improving the integrity of our elections, and also the trust that Americans need to have in our electoral process. So, the president supports this bill, and that (the married women voting issue) is a myth, that has been proven wrong by the text of this bill, and I believe by some of the co-sponsors of the bill have been very vocal in addressing that. And certainly, I myself as a married woman, would not stand before this podium if the president did not support such a common-sense measure.

We should note that only four Democrats voted for this election integrity measure.

Democrats - led in this by Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I, Dowager-Empress of Chappaqua- have been lying about this Act since it was first introduced and will no doubt continue to do so; lying, gaslighting, and scaremongering are all they have at this point. Think about it - when was the last time you heard a Congressional Democrat calmly offer a policy proposal?

Yeah, I can't remember either.

We're going to have good elections again. Democrats have opposed every effort at election integrity, but in this time, with this president and this Congress, the Republicans seem to be trying something new - actually passing legislation and not troubling themselves much about whether Democrats like it or not. That's how the Democrats have always operated; now, at last, the shoe's on the other foot, and we're kicking the Democrats' butts with it.

There's an old saying that "A lie can travel around the world before the truth gets its shoes on." Karoline Leavitt has shown she has a knack for lacing up her running shoes, catching up with those lies, pinning them to the ground, and throttling them. She has a big future in this business.

The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie.
