The property management firm managing several buildings in Aurora, Colorado, that have been taken over by members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, is speaking out. The company has taken to X to provide a full description of how the buildings were invaded and taken over by the illegal alien gangsters, how the tenants fled, how people were threatened and assaulted, and how the local government reacted. It all starts here.
Gangs have taken control of several of our properties in Aurora, Colorado.

In an attempt to discredit this fact for political purposes and avoid governmental accountability, some have spread false information about our situation. Let’s set the record straight...🧵 pic.twitter.com/Df9XMkwNtX
The thread starts with a powerful affirmation of what we already knew, and what some in government and the legacy media have tried to downplay: Gangs have taken control of entire apartment buildings. The company took over these buildings in 2019 and immediately started renovations to the run-down properties.
We started managing these buildings when new owners acquired the Colorado properties in 2019. At the time, the properties were in poor condition, and our mission was to renovate them, thereby increasing their value. This was an ambitious project that would significantly benefit… pic.twitter.com/xnExrt46ZK

So far, so good, right? This is what a responsible property management firm does. If a new property needs renovations, they are done; this raises the value of the property, attracts a better sort of tenant, and provides a more pleasant place to live. But that's not what happened in this case; not after illegal immigrant gang members started to focus their efforts on the property, and in time, to take over altogether.
After some time, we noticed a rise in crime and tenant complaints. The most alarming moment occurred when our local CBZ representative was attacked at the end of 2023.

He had gone to inspect a recently vacated three-bedroom apartment (a rare occurrence for such a large unit)… pic.twitter.com/VkzMwmlixA
Look at those images. This wasn't just an attack, this was a brutal beating, delivered by gang members who had taken over a property illegally.
But it didn't stop there.
After the attack on our CBZ representative, he began getting threatening text messages. We also frequently found people illegally occupying newly vacated apartments during scheduled tours. This was initially attributed to an influx of migrants exploiting squatter laws. We even… pic.twitter.com/OVMk5qhHgQ

This raises the question of how they got this representative's phone number. If it was a company phone, his number may have been available on the management company's website. If it was a private number, that's another thing entirely. But in either case, this is the use of a telecom system to directly threaten a person, which makes the whole thing now a federal issue.
Next, it came to light, as we have already documented, that tenants and squatters were indeed paying rent - to the gang.
When confronted, many of these illegal tenants and squatters claimed they had already paid rent, which we soon realized was true—but not to us. They were paying rent to a different entity.

To address this entity (gangs) we contacted every city official we could think of for help… pic.twitter.com/EGW3DSAdqD
So the property management company, with faith in the local government that turned out to be in vain, started complaining. Local authorities picked up a few gang members, but the overall problems remains.

Once we fully understood what we—and our tenants—were facing, we expected a swift response, with the city offering meaningful resources and police protection—perhaps even from the National Guard—to help us regain control of our properties. That never happened. Instead, we were left helpless, watching as violence, bullets, and destruction overtook our buildings. Many of our legitimate tenants fled out of fear. Despite the obvious crisis, several city officials refused to acknowledge the reality. Instead, they blamed us, citing "code violations" as the reason for shutting down our property—violations we couldn’t resolve for tenants who weren’t even ours.
This is intolerable. And the legacy media, we must note, have been downplaying it ever since.

As I've noted before, in my previous life I spent a lot of time teaching major corporations, many of whose names you would recognize, how to do root cause analysis. One of my hard and fast rules of root cause analysis is this: The root cause is always found at the point where some person or group of people make a decision. That doesn't mean the decision was bad at the time it was made; it may have seemed the right decision by rational standards with the information available at the time, and problems developed later. But in this case, the decision was made in January 2021, when Joe Biden signed executive orders largely undoing Donald Trump's border policies and effectively throwing the border open. There was illegal immigration before that, but the Harris/Biden administration's policies have allowed it to explode.
This mess in Aurora, Colorado, is just one of the outcomes of that catastrophically bad decision. And the root cause can be laid squarely at the feet of Joe Biden and Kamala "Border Czar" Harris.
