Native New Yorker Now Living in Israel to Jews in NY and LA: Get Out, You're Not Safe

After October 7th, 2023, it would seem hard to convince Jews in the most prosperous and powerful nation on the planet, the nation that seemingly pays endless tribute to "diversity," would be more dangerous to them than embattled Israel. But that's what Hillel Fuld, a Jewish man who once lived in New York City, is cautioning his fellow Jews. The sad part is that he may be right:

A former New Yorker whose brother was stabbed to death by a Palestinian in the West Bank is begging his Jewish brethren to “wake up” and ditch the land of bagels and lox in favor of the land of milk and honey.

Queens native Hillel Fuld, who moved to Israel at 15, believes Israel is the safest place for Jews — as antisemitic crimes soar in the US.

“Jews, get out now. Get the hell out while you still can,” Fuld warned in an interview with The Post.

The 45-year-old married father of five who lives between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem called the recent spate of violent attacks in his native New York and around the US “heartbreaking” — and labeled last week’s Los Angeles attack at an anti-Israel rally a “legitimate modern-day pogrom.”

“Read the writing on the wall,” pleaded Fuld, whose older brother, Ari, 45, was stabbed to death near his home in Efrat by a 17-year-old Palestinian.

He has a point. The initial round of protests that burst like gigantic boils onto the grounds of American major university campuses took a (slightly) lighter tone, demanding only a "ceasefire" (for Israel, not Hamas), but it was only days before we started seeing "Intifada Now," "From the river to the sea," and "Death to Israel" signs. Actual physical attacks on Jews and Jewish families are increasing, and even some members of Congress are tacitly supporting these monstrous acts.

Even so, I have another suggestion for Jewish families; the answer to your security may be found in another quarter:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

It's easy to see why urban Jews would see an avenue to escape to the world's only Jewish-majority nation. If the option had been more readily available in the 1930s, a lot of Jews may well have escaped Hitler's atrocities. But the Second Amendment is, here in the United States, the ultimate guarantor of our personal security. The advice I would offer is simple: You alone are responsible for your and your family's security. Arm yourselves, train, and be prepared to use force if necessary in defense of yourself or your family. If you live in a jurisdiction where this is not practical, move; I understand that's not always an easy or pleasant option but, given what's going on in places like New York today, your well-being may depend on it. And places like South Dakota or Florida are easier to reach (and more self-defense friendly) than Tel Aviv.

It's common in pro-Second Amendment circles to observe that if the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto, for example, had been armed, the Germans would have had a much more difficult time sending them to the camps. To American Jews, I can only offer the reminder that, while history does not always repeat itself, it often rhymes, and in our largely leftist Democrat-controlled cities, it seems to be beginning again.
