Pinterest Blocks Pro Life Group Live Action, Calling it PORN.

Can't people who support babies and Pinterest get along?
Can’t people who support babies and Pinterest get along?

The social media giants seem to be flexing their muscle against conservative people and organizations as of late.

The latest case of this comes just today from Pinterest, where one of the largest Pro-Life groups in the country, Live Action has been banned.

This has been months in the making it seems.

Back in Feb of this year, an employee at Pinterest discovered that people who were trying to link back to Live Action were not able to do so being the PRO-LIFE site was labeled a porn site. Now that is a stretch if there ever was one.

James O’ Keefe and his crew over at Project Veritas picked up the trail and found out that it goes much deeper than just labeling a pro-life group incorrectly but also putting CHRISTanity subjects in general on unsafe lists to view.

O’Keefe has been on fire today on twitter about this and here is just a sample…

Live Action President Lila Rose had this to say in response to the Pinterest move to ban the group she founded when she was a teenager…

Based on the evidence provided, it appears that Pinterest intentionally added ‘LiveAction.org’ to a ‘pornography’ blocklist in an effort to suppress our pro-life content from being shared on the platform.

By secretly applying the label of ‘pornography’ to Live Action’s pro-life content, Pinterest demonstrates a concerted effort to sideline a leading pro-life organization the only way they knew how. This does not appear to be a simple mistake. When confronted with an appeal, their employees doubled down and kept LiveAction.org on the pornography list.

What exactly is Pinterest attempting to block? Inspirational messages to pregnant mothers, ultrasound images showing the science of prenatal development, medically accurate information on the abortion procedure, and images saying women deserve better than abortion industry leader Planned Parenthood. Pinterest has targeted Live Action, I believe because our message is so effective at educating millions about the humanity of the preborn child and the injustice of abortion. Pinterest says that their mission is to “help empower people to discover things that they love,” but despite the fact that millions of people love babies and the pro-life cause, they are secretly censoring our life-affirming messages. Pinterest users deserve to know the truth and our messages deserve to be treated fairly. If Planned Parenthood can promote their message on Pinterest, then Live Action should be able to as well.

As I said above there seems to be a clear bias from groups like Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube on how they apply their “Terms Of Service” and apply them. There is no way in God’s Green Earth that anything on Live Action could be labeled “Porn” or as harmful to the public using Pinterest. If it is then the CEO of that company, Ben Silbermann, should go on a live show and explain it. In detail. With Lial Rose on that forum.

I know that I’m dreaming but enough is enough. This one-sided screwed up world view needs to be tackled head-on.

Let’s start with not allowing a Pro-Life group to be slandered in this manner.
