Shocker: Trump Now Not Invited to Obama Monolith Opening Ceremony

One would tend to think that a presidential library, or a presidential center - whatever you call a building set up to commemorate a member of that elite group, people who have been the President of the United States (Well, it was an elite group, until, oh, about 2008) would be pretty impressive. It should be a structure of style, grace, and dignity; the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum comes to mind. Something we can admire, something that represents the dignity and power of the highest elected office in the greatest nation in the history of mankind.

Instead, the Obama people caused a brutalist monolith to be constructed. This thing looks like it belongs in the heart of Moscow during the height of the Soviet Union, of Beijing during the rule of Mao, or perhaps on an abandoned desert moon in some dystopian science-fiction movie.

In any case, the thing will be opening soon, and the Obama creatures organizing the grand opening have seen fit to snub the current President of the United States: Donald Trump. I bet he's heartbroken. (Yes, that is sarcasm.)

The post concludes:

She added that once it opens to the public, “should President Trump want to come and tour the center, President Obama would be delighted for him to do so.”

Oh, I jolly well bet President Obama would be delighted.

Setting aside this petty snub for a moment - honestly, we should expect nothing else from Valerie Jarrett, an Obama creature through and through - we can't help but imagine President Trump probably reacted to this news with an amused snort. Yes, this is petty. Yes, it's not befitting the history of the presidency. And yes, we expect nothing less from Democrats today, as they are, as a party, with few exceptions, consumed with rampant Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Besides, President Trump has more important things to do, like overseeing the deconstruction of the theocratic regime in Iran, browbeating Cuba into submission, and lending the Venezuelan people a hand in rebuilding their own nation after decades of disastrous socialist rule. He's also busy rebuilding the American energy sector and trying his best to get Congress to finally push through a major election-reform package. He's got a lot on his plate, and probably not a lot of time to visit what appears to be the remnant of a prehistoric magma intrusion on the south side of Chicago.

And honestly, why bother? South Chicago may not be the baddest part of town anymore, but it's sure the ugliest. The people who live in the area sure aren't pleased about that.

“It looks like this big piece of rock that just landed here out of nowhere in what used to be a really nice landscape of trees and flowers,” Ken Woodward, a lawyer and father of six who grew up in the area, told the Daily Mail.

“It’s a monstrosity. It’s over budget, it’s taking way too long to finish and it’s going to drive up prices and bring headaches and problems for everyone who lives here. It feels like a washing away of the neighborhood and culture that used to be here.”

A monstrosity? Over budget? Taking too long? Sure to drive up prices and bring headaches and problems? You know, I may be wrong in my initial assessment; this may be the absolutely perfect commemoration of the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

As of this writing, I have been unable to confirm a persistent rumor that the Obama Presidential Center will be a film location for the upcoming science-fiction film, 2031: A Space Oddity.

Editor’s Note: Hollywood, academia, and liberal elites like the Obamas are out of touch with the average American.
