The testosterone levels at the Pentagon, which have risen significantly since President Trump came back into office last year, are about to be off the charts.
As part of the ongoing efforts by the Department of War (DOW) to make America's troops the fittest and mightiest in the world – and perhaps in all of history – Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced Wednesday that he's on the hunt for soldiers who might be a tad deficient in the male hormone department. Yes, the hunt for low-T troops has begun.
Hegseth was coming in hot in this announcement video posted Wednesday to his official government X account, in which he addressed the troops directly and revealed that all service members over the age of 30 would be required to undergo annual testosterone deficiency screenings. Those younger than 30 can participate in the screenings voluntarily, per the secretary.

At the Department of War, we have the most elite warriors on the face of the earth. Every day, you are pushed to your absolute physical and mental limits to master the profession of arms. We demand your all, and you give it.
But, while we invest heavily in our weapons' systems, platforms, and gear, our most decisive tactical advantage will always be the individual war fighter. We have a sacred duty to maintain that advantage, which is why we must constantly look for new ways to optimize your performance, your resilience, and your long-term health.
And, to meet that commitment today, I'm authorizing a new screening program for testosterone deficiency our service members, ensuring you have the right testosterone levels to operate at your absolute best. Because it's well-established science that, as we age, testosterone levels often naturally drop.
Hegseth then revealed the specifics:
Under the supervision of world-class medical professionals, war fighters 30 and older are going to be tested annually as part of their periodic health assessments. Those under 30 can voluntarily choose to get the test, as well.
If treatment is recommended, it's entirely your choice to receive testosterone replacement therapy. This initiative is not about artificial enhancement, it's about restoring and optimizing your natural capabilities, protecting your longevity, and ensuring you have the biological foundation required to sustain the fight. We owe our warriors the absolute best medical care in the world, and this program delivers on that obligation.
The goal, said the secretary, was to ensure each troop's optimum fitness now and well into the future.
Taking care of your long-term health ensures you remain strong, resilient, and capable, not just for your next deployment, but for the rest of your life so you can thrive long after you take off the uniform. As we know, the modern battlefield is brutal and unrelenting. It requires, and demands, maximum psychological and mental readiness. And by addressing these health markers early, we're keeping you on the leading edge of lethality and giving you the same level of support that you give this nation
The Cleveland Clinic estimates that testosterone levels in men begin to drop by 1 percent per year starting in their late 30s. The hormone plays an important role in maintaining muscle mass, bone density, red blood cell production, and energy levels. Those with deficiencies experience symptoms like fatigue, decreased muscle strength and endurance, and, in some cases, depression.

Hegseth Calls Out 'Fat Generals,' Exposes the Leftist Brainrot Surrounding the Military
Since becoming secretary, Hegseth has initiated several efforts to reestablish the "warrior ethos" in our military by improving the fitness and readiness levels of the fighting forces. Among other things, he has ordered a military-wide review of fitness and body-composition standards, required vigorous daily physical training for active-duty troops, increased fitness testing to twice a year, imposed tougher sex-neutral standards for combat jobs, and pushed the military branches toward more demanding, combat-focused fitness tests.
And, now, the big T.
Brace yourselves, everyone. Testosterone is back.
Editor's Note: Thanks to President Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth's leadership, the warrior ethos is coming back to America's military.
