The Hoaxes, Scandals and Mysteries Donald Trump Could Blow the Lid Off of in His Second Term

AP Photo/File

When we talk about "lids" these days, it's usually in the context of the Biden White House calling a press lid when the enfeebled president needs to tap out for the day. Sometimes it's in the morning, sometimes it's in the afternoon, sometimes it's for the entire day and sometimes it's for days at a time.

There's another kind of "lid" we need to be talking about, though, and that's the lid the feds have firmly placed atop some of the nation's biggest hoaxes, scandals, and mysteries. We're told that these things are a matter of national security —even though some are over sixty years old and the players are long dead — and that's why we're not privy to the details.

That was then and this is now. Donald Trump, who earned a second trip to the White House, in part, because of voters' frustrations with being repeatedly lied to by the federal government, has said he's willing to blow the lid off of some of the biggest stories of the last century. We're talking JFK assassination and UFO-level declassifications — the really, really good stuff.

And it's not just the president-elect who would like to publicly unmask the bad guys; it's his appointees, too. Kash Patel, Trump's pick to head the FBI, has been very vocal about unveiling who was behind things like J6. It's going to be a fun four years.

Here are some of the stories Trump 2.0 could lay bare for the world to see.

The JFK Files

During his first administration, Trump did release some of the documents surrounding John F. Kennedy's assassination, but, as he told the "All In" podcast back in June, some of his first-term advisors told him to put the breaks on additional releases.

“I actually did do it,” Trump said. “I released a lot, as you know, but when it came to the whole thing, I was hit by some people that work for me that are great people, that you would respect and they asked me not to do it.

“And I’m saying why. Tell me why. And they said, ‘Sir, I think it needs a little more time’.”

Once he brought in Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., as an ally, the topic of releasing the JFK files became a little more personal to Trump. RFK, Jr., has told numerous interviewers that Trump has promised him that all of the files would be released.

Some think it was Mike Pompeo who talked Trump out of releasing all of the documents because it would implicate the CIA, but, no matter, Trump says he's "just going to do it" when he gets back in office.

UFOs

Although UFOs don't seem to be of particular interest to Donald Trump, he did share some insight into what he learned on the topic while president in his interview with Joe Rogan.

This topic may see some renewed interest from Trump as more reports emerge of drone-like objects being spotted in the skies over central New Jersey.

Who Was in the J6 Crowd?

This is where Kash Patel comes in. Patel maintains that at least a dozen FBI informants, along with two dozen FBI agents, were in the crowd on January 6, 2021, and that the feds "lost track" of them. He places the blame and lack of transparency about what happened that day at the feet of Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland.

This is an issue you have got to think Donald Trump would like to see brought out into the open so that the narrative can be set straight. Also, Kash Patel is going to be a great FBI director.

The Jeffrey Epstein List

Patel, again, is a strong advocate for exposing the deep state, and he knows exactly who has the Epstein client list: the director of the FBI.

Patel has said previously that Trump should release the Epstein list on day 1, but could the internet even handle that? Everyone wants to know who's on this list.

The Gretchen Whitmer Fed-napping

There's a good reason that deep staters are nervous about the incoming administration, and Kash Patel may just burn the thing down. That would be a great time to inform the public about what exactly went down with the Gretchen Whitmer "FEDnapping."

And there's no love lost between Trump and Whitmer, so the president-elect may be inclined to bring it all out into the open.

Hunter's Laptop

The Biden family may think that Joe's pardon of Hunter is the end of the "laptop from hell" story, but not so fast. We still don't know its contents, and wouldn't we all like to know what role the "big guy" played in his son's misdeeds? It's likely Kash Patel would, too.

Trump's Would-Be Assassins

We know way more about Luigi Mangione, the man thought to have murdered UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson last week, than we do about the two men who tried to take out Donald Trump many months back. As RedState's Bob Hoge wrote on Tuesday:

Many are hoping that Trump’s pick for FBI director, Kash Patel, who has held several national security positions and is considered a Trump loyalist, will shed some light on this issue and others and bring some badly needed transparency to the bureau.

What is the FBI trying to hide here? Are we supposed to believe that both of these men didn't have motives or connections that are worth sharing?

The bottom line is that we'll have to wait and see what actually comes to light after Donald Trump takes the oath of office, but one thing's for sure: with a mandate in hand and people around him looking to expose the deep state, the American public may finally get answers to some of their most intriguing, long-held questions.
