Dallas Cowboy's QB Won't Kneel or Take His Freedom for Granted. Take That, Colin Kaepernick!

As a Redskins fan, it pains me to say this. But … Dak Prescott is DA MAN!

The Cowboy’s QB was asked by Yahoo Sports if he was “tempted” to kneel during the national anthem, a la Colin Kaepernick and a handful of other players. His response? “No, not at all.”

He elaborated:

“I mean, it’s bigger than I think some of us think. It’s just important for me to go out there, hand over my heart, represent our country, and just be thankful, and not take anything I’ve been given and my freedom for granted.

I just feel so strongly that the act of recognizing the flag is a salute to our country and all of the people that have sacrificed so that we can have the liberties we have.”

Prescott gets it in a way that seems to elude the unsigned Colin Kaepernick. The nation has precious little tolerance for highly compensated, pampered athletes presuming to lecture them about what they perceive as injustices.

Of course, Kaepernick won’t have the chance to kneel during the anthem this season as he doesn’t have a team.

(PS — Beat Dallas!)
