Ok. So he’s been out of the spotlight for a few years. Give the guy a break.
Still, he’s a former vice president, showing up at Trump Tower, at a time when the press is at high alert, and they missed it.
Quayle served as VP under President George H.W. Bush, from 1989 to 1993, and caught a lot of flack over an incident in 1992, when he corrected a 12-year old’s spelling of the word, “potato” to “potatoe.”
The 12-year old was correct.
The Washington Examiner reports:
The press did not ask any questions of the Indiana Republican when he first arrived at Trump Tower because they did not recognize him, according to a pool report from the journalists in the building’s lobby. A photo tweeted by a Washington Post reporter showed a bystander asking Conway for a selfie as Quayle stood nearby.
Ok. Cold.

Quayle had breakfast with VP-elect Mike Pence earlier Tuesday morning, before arriving at Trump Tower, in order to meet with Trump and extend congratulations.
“Things are in good hands, he’s moving forward, and he’s going to make America great again,” Quayle told reporters.
Ok. MAGA. Awesome. Maybe go back to private life now, Sir.
