State Department Continues to Fund the UN's Terror-Simping UNRWA After Advertising a 'Pause' in Funding

A growing list of countries have announced their contributions to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) would "pause" after revelations that some of its employees were active participants in the October 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel. Several UNRWA were involved in the October 7 attacks either as direct combatants or as custodians of hostages taken.

As numbers like these circulated:

The head of UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini, complained

Stopping funding to the UNRWA is a righteous act. About 2 million people depend on UNRWA aid because it is easier than working. As an aside, portraying people living in hi-rise apartments on the Mediterranean as "refugees" is the worst sort of dishonesty. The UNRWA provided the materials and equipment to build Hamas's tunnel network. It is the UNRWA's school system that indoctrinates young Palestinians into antisemitism and preparation for suicide attacks.

Hamas Stole Aid from the UN, and Now the UN Is Rushing to Cover It Up

UNRWA's relationship with Hamas has been public knowledge for quite a while.

Here, Hamas fighters carry off food aid. The sad fact is that UN aid, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or Yemen, inevitably goes to support armed men.

The medical system exists as an adjunct of Hamas. This video shows five Hamas gunmen using a UNRWA ambulance as a getaway vehicle.

The cover story that the UNRWA worked on involved in the October 7 attacks was "a few bad apples," and punishing the UNRWA for the acts of a few is unconscionable and is just nonsense. At least 3,000 UNRWA teachers participated in a group chat, cheering the terrorists on.

Now, it seems that Biden's national security team cannot perform an easy, moral act when a convoluted, immoral alternative is available.

Though they say they've suspended funding, that only applies to new projects. Projects the Biden White House is supporting today will continue to be funded. It would be a safe bet that all the other funding suspensions are precisely the same.

The UNRWA isn't being defunded now, and when the war ends, you can bet it will be back in business with even more of your tax dollars supporting Hamas terrorism.
