Two Top Republicans Say Blinken Should Be Impeached Over Biden Laptop Role, Good Luck Making That Happen

Former CIA Director Mike Morell has told the House Judiciary Committee that it was Secretary of State Antony (with no “h”) Blinken who, while acting as a senior campaign adviser for Joe Biden, enlisted him to organize the letter from former intelligence officials labeling the material from Hunter Biden’s laptop Russian dezinformatsiya.

According to an exclusive in the New York Post (see NEW: Secretary Blinken, Biden Campaign Behind Intel Community Letter Labeling Hunter’s Laptop as Russian DisinfoWATCH: Jim Jordan Exposes the Timeline of the Biden-Blinken Hunter Biden SubterfugeIntelligence Community Officials Lied to the American Public to Influence the Outcome of the 2020 Presidential Election), Morell had no intention of writing a letter or soliciting others to either write or sign a letter plainly lying about Hunter Biden’s laptop until Blinken put the thought in his minds.

Here is how Jim Jordan describes the sequence this way:

“When the story came out on Oct. 14, 2020, about the ‘Biden business operation’ and whether then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved, there was some concern that he was — then quickly it turns into this political operation — that letter that became the basis for suppressing the story and keeping it from the American people just days before the most important election we have,” he said.

“The 14th, the [New York] Post has a story. The 17th, Tony Blinken… contacts Mike Morell and gets him interested in this. Mike Morell looks at it the next day, organizes on the 18th all these other people to sign the letter. The 19th, the letter goes out.”

Jordan added Morell concocted the letter in time for the NBC presidential debate on Oct. 22 because he thought then-President Trump would bring up the laptop issue, which he did.

Morell and Blinken wanted a statement Joe Biden could use to rebut Trump’s likely allegations, “because, as Mr. Morell said, they wanted [Biden] to win,” he continued.

This is a significant revelation from several standpoints. First and foremost, it shows that the Biden campaign did not believe Hunter’s laptop was a Russian plant. Second, it shows the people who signed the letter were bad-faith actors who knew the Russian disinformation story was bogus but set about to deceive the American people for political purposes. As an aside, the lack of qualms by any of the signers indicates that they were used to lying to America to push their own agenda; this is something the next GOP president should keep in mind. Most concerning is that the prime mover behind the story, Antony Blinken, was made Secretary of State.

According to John Solomon, two key Republicans, Senator Ron Johnson and Representative Andy Biggs, have now called for Blinken to resign or be impeached.

“This, in my opinion, probably disqualifies him to serve as the Secretary of State,” Biggs told Just the News in a wide-ranging interview Friday on the John Solomon Reports podcast. “And I know people keep saying, ‘Andy, you want to impeach everybody?’ Well, you know, Tony Blinken probably should be impeached, just like [Homeland Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas should be impeached.

Johnson, who led a 2020 Senate probe that concluded Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings while his father was vice president harmed U.S. national security, also called for Blinken to resign if Morell’s allegations prove true.

“And if he doesn’t resign, he should be impeached,” he said during an interview Friday with the Star News Network. “Again, so many members of the Biden administration have this level of deceit, dishonesty and corruption. This is a lawless administration.”

Just two thoughts on this. It is one thing for a Roger Stone- or Lee Atwater- or Jim Carville-type campaign consigliere to come up with a scheme like having 51 ostensibly credible former officials burn down their integrity to put an imbecilic assclown in the White House. They get paid good money to do that crap and don’t plague us in the off-years between elections. It is quite another matter when the Svengali behind such a disreputable act is made Secretary of State, and we are then required to listen to his advice on matters of war and peace. If any sane person trusted Blinken before this week, they don’t know. The man is a shameless liar who will say or do whatever it takes to serve his master. He needs to go away. Far away. Like maybe to a federal supermax.

Second, the House has enough votes to impeach Blinken, Joe Biden, and Alejandro Mayorkas. It just needs a majority vote. Speaker McCarthy wanted to do it; he could. The bar of impeachment was moved so low after President Trump’s last year in office that anything the House intends to consider “high crimes and misdemeanors” are. The fact that he hasn’t made such a move indicates that, yet again, our elected representatives are just trying to generate outrage for campaign donations and votes.

Of course, Blinken should resign, but he won’t because he has no integrity and he’s incapable of feeling shame. Of course, he should be impeached if he won’t resign, but to push for his impeachment would take moral courage by the House leadership — and good luck finding that there.
