Today will be the third time a militant mob will storm the US Capitol since January 6.
The U.S. Capitol Police said Wednesday that they have information regarding a possible plot by a militant group to breach the Capitol on Thursday, a date that some followers of the QAnon extremist ideology falsely claim will mark former president Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
The department declined to name the group or provide additional details, citing the “sensitive nature” of the information. In a statement, the department said it is “prepared for any potential threats.”

As members and staff are still shellshocked by the Capitol riot
(2/3) Through its Fourth Mission, @DeptVetAffairs is demonstrating how veterans & VA continue to step up to serve their community following a crisis. Thank you to VA for providing these invaluable & potentially lifesaving resources to all those at the Capitol complex who need it.

This new threat comes as yet another assault upon their frayed nerves. The House took its last vote of the week last evening:
The House is going to take its last votes of the week this evening, ending the workweek early after Capitol Police warned of reports that an unnamed militant group planned to breach the Capitol tomorrow, March 4.

There are still some 5,000 National Guardsmen on civil disturbance duty in Washington, DC. (read Panem Is Very Afraid and No One Knows Why), they are being fed on undercooked and moldy food, perhaps to inure them to the physical dangers of their upcoming battle with QAnon (see Michigan National Guard Served Undercooked, Moldy Food While in Washington D.C.). Razor wire and barriers are everywhere:

Can we take a step back from this for a second?
Does anyone really believe this sh**? Does anyone really believe that this ephemeral, non-specific threat by an unspecified and anomalous group is any more real than the last ephemeral, non-specific threat by an unspecified, and anomalous group? READ Capitol Police ‘Adding Extra Security Due to Concerns About March 4’, It’s as Ridiculous as You Might Imagine.
!! In her testimony before Congress, Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman says militias tied to the January 6th attack have stated their desire to “blow up the Capitol and kill as many members as possible with a direct nexus to the State of the Union."

Perhaps the reason Joe Biden hasn’t given his State of the Union Address is a tactic to buy time to break up this foul conspiracy (What Happened to Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address?). Or, stick with me here for a moment; this is all nonsense. Given the fact that the FBI is deeply embedded in every militia and militant group in the country (except those who are actually dangerous) and is engaged in the unprecedented roundup of folks whose cellphone seems to have recorded their location at the US Capitol on January 6, if these threats were real some red-fanged, upwardly mobile US Attorney would have held a press conference by now declaring they had broken up a plot to blow up the Capitol and the perpetrators were on the way to Gitmo.
It is a safe bet, a guaranteed bet, that nothing at all is going to happen today. I doubt anyone in Congress other than AOC believes there is a militant attack just waiting for the opportunity to invade the Capitol. I doubt that the Capitol Police, who sorta missed some warning signs around January 6, is in the position to gather deep intel on secretive groups involved in a criminal conspiracy. I doubt that the FBI has gathered any such intel because they apparently are not allowed to monitor public social media messages for hints of criminal activity:
FBI Counterterrorism chief Jill Sanborn just made a crucial point: the FBI does not believe it has the authority to monitor PUBLIC social media posts unless there is predication such as an open investigation. That’s largely the bureau missed so many of the threats.

The FBI would also be unable to resist the pressure to arrest anyone plotting a Capitol attack who was already under investigation.
What is going on here is simple and blatant. The Democrats are carrying out this matinee performance of Security Theater for the sole purpose of trying to paint Trump supporters as dangerous “insurrectionists.” Period. That’s it. It is really that simple. The January 6 Capitol Riot was made possible because it had the cover of a large rally at the other end of the National Mall. Without such a covering event, there is no significant threat to the Capitol; at least there is not one more dangerous than these:
On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican Americans fired guns in the House of Representatives, injuring five congressmen. The attackers said they acted to demand independence for the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. (Puerto Ricans have U.S. citizenship but can’t vote for president and have no voting representatives in Congress.) The injured congressmen survived, and the four shooters received prison sentences. President Jimmy Carter commuted one of their sentences in 1977, and granted clemency to the other three in 1979.
On March 1, 1971, a bomb exploded in the Capitol building. While the explosion did not injure anyone, it caused some $300,000 in damage. A group calling itself the Weather Underground claimed to be behind the bombing and said it was in protest of the ongoing U.S.-supported bombing of Laos.
Thirteen years later, on November 7, 1983, a bomb tore through the second floor of the Senate wing of the Capitol. The device detonated late in the evening and no one was harmed, but it caused an estimated $250,000 in damage. A group calling itself the Armed Resistance Unit later claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in retaliation for military actions in Grenada and Lebanon. Seven people were eventually arrested in connection with the attack.
It is going to be interesting to see how the Democrats wind this down because I don’t believe they can. If the Third World security measures adopted in DC suddenly go away without a massive police sweep and the arrest of dozens of “armed insurrectionists,” then it is all going to be revealed as a fraud.
