President Trump Hammers the Press Over Their Role in Supporting Antifa and Their Riots

President Trump in on the ground in and around Kenosha, WI, all afternoon and is definitely making news.

In an impromptu presser and Joint Base Andrews, before President Trump departed for Kenosha, he laid the blame squarely where it needs to be placed.

Now, we’re ready. When I watched that scene last night, with all of those really horrible people out side the mayor’s house (see Who Hates Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler More – BLM/Antifa or His Neighbors?), I also saw the way that shot the young gentleman in the street. He was targeted. They targeted him. They shot him in the street and then they were so happy that he died.

You don’t mention that. You mention somebody spray painted somebody from the other side.

They shot a man in the street. They executed a man in the street. A religious man in the street. An you don’t mention it. It’s not even a story. You talk about other things. The press should be ashamed of themselves. I think the press is actually, the media is what’s fueling this, moreso than even Biden because Biden doesn’t know he’s alive. But the press is really fueling this, and they’re fueling it horribly and you’re doing a great disservice to your country.

All of this is absolutely true.

One of the reasons that the riots in Portland and Seattle have had such longevity is that the media, from major national figures right down to low-rent producers on MSNBC, are vicariously living the thrill of smashing windows, fighting with cops, and killing inoffensive people in the street. The can’t cheer as loud as they’d like, but they are cheering nonetheless. They are acting as the recruiting sergeants for Antifa. They are acting as the public relations department for Antifa.

The point that Trump makes is critical. It is not merely the fact that the media are covering the riots because that is their job. The issue is them invariably showing Antifa thugs in the most favorable light. Take, for instance, the counter-protest in Portland a couple of days ago that consisted, totally, of people driving trucks and cars with political slogans on them. Antifa thugs attacked them. Yet the media portrayed both things as the same. They have yet to really mention the fact that a know Antifa thug murdered a guy for the crime of wearing the wrong hat.

Eventually, we will put Antifa out of business. But we need never to lose sight of the fact that these riots have been stoked by a complicit media that sympathizes with both the cause and the methods of these murderous thugs.
