While the #NeverTrump movement is causing a lot of division on the right. Apparently, Hillary Clinton is causing a lot of anxiety on the left. On Thursday, nutty left wing actress, Susan Sarandon, was interviewed on Thursday by Jordan Chariton of The Young Turks (motto: We’re Big On YouTube). Sarandon is a Bernie Sanders supporter but the subject of Hillary Clinton and her “major foreign policy” speech in San Diego came up:

TRANSCRIPT

CHARITON: Hillary Clinton today is giving a speech basically lambasted him as dangerous for foreign policy. I get emails all the time from her campaign saying the same thing. You’re not going to see much media coverage about Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy.

SARANDON: There you go. This is the question. You know I believe in a way she’s more dangerous, except they’re both talking to Henry Kissinger apparently lately so maybe he’s going to– depending on who– he brings Kissinger in but her record, I mean she did not learn from Iraq and she is an interventionist and she’s done horrible things, horrible things, and very callously.

I don’t know if she’s overcompensating or what what her trip is but her she’s… that scares me. I think we’ll be in Iran in two seconds. It frightens me. You know she’s…

CHARITON: She lobbied… uh… President Obama to take action with Syria.

SARANDON: Syria and what happened in Libya and all these emails are very detrimental and her and her attitude is also… it doesn’t even seem to be difficult for her to do these things. So I’m be curious to see if anybody brings up anything. I mean but this is what we’re fed: oh he’s so dangerous he’s so dangerous. Seriously I’m not worried about a wall being built and Mexico paying for it. He’s not going to get a rid of every Muslim in this country. Has he made it the norm to be racist and to vent these kind of un-American things? Yes. But seriously I don’t know what his policy is. I do know what her policies are. I do know who she’s taking money from and I do know that she’s not transparent and I do know that nobody calls her on it.

I posted on Clinton’s speech, without the advantage of having seen Sarandon’s interview, and I find we are on the same page.

This election year is a trial for anyone with a conscience. There are compelling reasons to reject Donald Trump. Unfortunately, there are zero compelling reasons to support Hillary Clinton. She is more amoral and unethical than Trump. She is at least as thin skinned and incompetent. Sarandon is right, Clinton, in a just world, should be hauled before a war crimes tribunal and tried for her roles in overthrowing Mubarak and Qaddafi, setting off civil wars in Iraq and Syria and creating ISIS. She should be rejected because she lied to the American people about the cause of the Benghazi attack and because she lied to the families of the people who died there then accused them of lying… at least twice.

I’m still #NeverTrump but I will not hold it against anyone who decides that Hillary Clinton is a bigger threat.
