ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN all refused to cover the Planned Parenthood #PPSellsBabyParts story on their Sunday shows signaling a conscious attempt by all those networks to memory hole the entire issue.

Fox News Sunday was the only Sunday political show to cover Planned Parenthood during its broadcast, and devoted more than 7 minutes to the controversial video.

Instead of covering Planned Parenthood, the four shows spent more than 50 minutes on Donald Trump attacking [mc_name name=’Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’M000303′ ]’s military record and the likely political fallout tied to his remarks.

Not surprising.

Given the extreme left wing bias of the media one hardly expects them to question the Holy Sacrament of their secular religion: abortion.

Last week an enterprising citizen journalist organization released video of a senior official with Planned Parenthood blithely discussing dismembering infants and selling their parts between bites of salad and sips of wine. During the course of the interview the official as much as admits a widespread conspiracy among Planned Parenthood affiliates to violate at least two federal laws: trafficking in body parts and modifying abortion procedure to allow for the profitable extraction of  organs.

Just as the Washington Post’s Sarah Kliff (now at Vox.com, surprise, right?) refused to cover the Kermit Gosnell case because it was a “local crime story”, the media now is toeing the Planned Parenthood line that nothing is wrong and the people who did the filming are REALLY BAD PEOPLE.

More of these videos will be released in the new future. Several governors have announced investigations into Planned Parenthood operations. Congress has already announced an investigation. While the media may not cover this, the days of their Sunday Shows setting the agenda are long gone. There was an acknowledgement of this by the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza who gave Planned Parenthood his “Worst Week in Washington” award:

It’s never a good look to be sipping red wine while discussing the costs associated with fetal tissue culled from abortions.

But that’s the situation Planned Parenthood found itself in this past week after a senior official was secretly taped by the Center for Medical Progress. (On its Web site, the CMP calls itself a “group of citizen journalists,” but it opposes abortion and quite clearly has an agenda in these matters.)

The way the networks, save Fox, ignored this story is just one more sign of their irrelevancy.
