#1 - The Honeymoon Is Over: New Harvard/Harris Poll and DNC Leaks May Sink Kamala Harris' Ship — by Jennifer Oliver O'Connell
As my colleague Ward Clark reported, Harris will announce her VP in about a week, and is scheduled to do a tour of battleground states with said pick. Those still open to self-immolation: PA Gov. Josh Shapiro, MN Gov. Tim Walz, KY Gov. Andy Beshear, and AZ Sen. Mark Kelly. While these are white men slated to give the "Black" woman gravitas (there's a a ton of tropes here that would take too long to get into!), none of these politicians excite anyone but the wine-sipping "White Women for Kamala" and the testosterone-deficient "Dudes for Kamala Harris." Maybe the VP will give her a boost, and maybe not. But if the top of the ticket hasn't greatly moved the needle, a No. 2 may initially raise some excitement, but will ultimately flame out just as quickly as this coronation.

In another sign that the Harris campaign may be in trouble, O'Keefe Media Group (OMG) just dropped an interview with a Democrat National Committee manager who basically said that Harris has "no accomplishments to speak of," and that they lie to the donors in order to extract the money they need.
#2 - WATCH: The Trump-Harris Debate We'd Love to See — Hilarious Impersonators Absolutely Crush It — by Mike Miller
As Donald Trump and Kamala Harris continue their kabuki dance over whether or when they'll agree to debate, a talk radio show in Philadelphia on Thursday treated its listeners to a hilarious imaginary debate, featuring impersonator stand-ins for the former president and current vice president.
There are impersonators who do a good job mimicking voices, affects, cadence, and quirks of the people they impersonate. Then there's Shawn Farash. Close your eyes, and this guy is Donald Trump.
At the other podium, Estee Palti delivered a blistering version of Kamala Harris: clueless, hypocritical, and hyena-like laughter. Talk Radio 1210 WPHT absolutely nailed the production.
#3 - The Backlash Continues: Tech Company Pulls Ads From Olympics As Boycott Movement Grows — by Bob Hoge
It remains to be seen how much the backlash affects the games and whether more advertisers pull their money from NBC. My first instinct is to say no—people will forget and start focusing on the actual competitions, and the kinds of people who thought up this garbage in the first place will keep attempting to shove it down our throats.
However, I've been wrong before—and I'm glad of it—because I thought the Bud Light/Dylan Mulvaney fiasco would quickly fade from the headlines, yet the company lost billions as its betrayed customers let their voices be heard.
Could we be in for a repeat?
#4 - Joe Biden Threatens Mike Johnson's Life in Incredibly Bizarre and Concerning Scene — by Bonchie
With that said, imagine if Donald Trump said any Democrat was "dead on arrival." Then imagine he was given a chance to clean up his comment and instead said the same thing again. CNN would be running 24-hour coverage. Multiple MSNBC hosts would be hyperventilating on air. The Post and Times would have two dozen op-eds lined up proclaiming the disqualifying nature of the violent threats. Congressional investigations would be launched.
Because it's Biden, though, the press simply ignores it outside of a few posts on social media by individual journalists. As far as they are concerned, the temperature has been lowered, and the soul of the nation restored because of the president's exit from the presidential race. He's a Democrat, and everything centers on ensuring Trump doesn't win another term. To call him out for this, regardless of how hypocritical it is not to, would help the wrong side, and they can't have that.
#5 - Awkward Video of Jill Biden in Paris Raises Questions of Why She's Even There — by Bonchie
Some are describing the above scene as embarrassing for Jill Biden because she was last in line, something you wouldn't expect given the assumed stature of the United States. I think something else is going on, though. Over several minutes, she stands there, allowing others to go in front of her to greet French President Emmanual Macron and his wife. She's technically last in line by the time her turn arrives, but I think that was purposeful. She wanted to be last so she could get her photo-op and be the one to walk away with the French leader.
Why? Because that's who Jill Biden is. She is nothing if not intoxicated by the opportunity her husband's fledgling presidency provides to cosplay as royalty. You'd think she'd join her family at Camp David given the situation that just unfolded over the last week. This would be the time for a normal person to be there for the husband she selfishly abused for years on end in pursuit of celebrity and free private jet rides. Instead, she's hobnobbing in Paris alone on the taxpayer dime because again, that's what's who she is. That's what's most important to her.
