Remember last year after the uproar over Bud Light's partnering with trans-influencer Dylan Mulvaney when video emerged of the former Vice President of Marketing for the brand deriding it as "fratty"? Her seeming disdain for the target demographic of the product she was ostensibly trying to help sell dripped off the screen. She was soon placed on leave and, last I checked, hasn't resurfaced.

Maybe it's because I attended a big state university with a party school reputation and was in a sorority myself, but I never quite got what that marketing exec's issue was. "Fratty" is precisely what beer — particularly the cheap domestic variety that lends itself well to keg parties and such — should be if you want to develop a loyal customer base. I was reminded of "fratty" goodness this past week when the image emerged from UNC-Chapel Hill of members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity stepping in to hold up the American flag and keep it from touching the ground after pro-Hamas protesters attempted to rip it down and replace it with the Palestinian flag.
