As we reported, CNN had a horrible week last week when it came to reporting the news.
Now, they have an issue in general, but last week was particularly egregious, with their hosts/reporters having to issue multiple corrections for false stories, including about the NYC bomb attack and Operation Epic Fury.
But if you listen to them try to spin, you would think that they hadn't put out any false stories.

Their media correspondent then tried to save them this morning, painting the problem as a "smear" from President Donald Trump as "unpatriotic" for "scrutinizing the Iran war."

Of course, that itself is a false story, as the problem isn't scrutiny, it's false stories that the various CNN entities/employees then had to correct/clarify. The White House Rapid Response X account then leveled him and CNN.

How dare the Trump team expect that CNN commit journalism and report the truth? Those cads! They're asking far too much of CNN, those Hitlers! Asking them to be truthful is apparently now a "smear." Don't blame Trump if the American people take issue with CNN spreading false stories. You earned that backlash all on your own, and not just from last week.
Funny how often that "independent coverage" he claims seems to align with the Democratic narrative.
People know it. There's a reason that CNN has horrible ratings, and people don't watch it. Maybe if they changed their ways, they might get back some of the many viewers they have lost over the years. But that would require a lot more self-reflection and looking in the mirror than they seem to be willing to do now.
Yes, Americans do see through the "ugly rhetoric." But that rhetoric is coming from the media like CNN, not the Trump administration.
