TOP O' THE MORNIN'

Biden Tries to Take Questions but Staff Cuts Him Off in Bizarre, Troubling Video

This is not normal. But this is what the Democrats have foisted on us and are trying to put into office again.

OPINION: Don't Believe the Doom-and-Gloom Crowd; the Changes at the RNC Are Overwhelmingly Positive

Call me crazy, but when Democrats hyperventilate over something Republicans are doing politically and say the strategy is ill-advised or will lead to disaster, I tend to think the strategy might have some merit. Since that's been their reaction to the swift changes enacted at the Republican National Committee, you can assume they think the changes are good for Republicans - or at least are capable of being good for Republicans.

New: The Insane Contrasts Between Biden WH Statements on Laken Riley and Nex Benedict Are Blood-Boiling

It's just despicable. Laken Riley's death mattered, too, and to a whole lot of people, but apparently not to Joe Biden.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

No hearings are scheduled for Friday, but there is sure to be continuing commentary regarding the TikTok bill and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) weird Israeli election flex and Ukraine funding and Israel funding and Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-VT) 32-hour work week proposal, among other things. Never a dull moment on the Hill.

White House What's Up

Just in time for St. Paddy's Day, President Joe Biden will host Taoiseach Leo Varadkar of Ireland at the White House and then, in the afternoon, attend the Friends of Ireland Speaker Luncheon at the United States Capitol.

Full Court Press...

Friday's the big day for Fulton County and Fani Willis. Judge Scott McAfee will issue his ruling regarding whether D.A. Willis, Nathan Wade, and/or her office should be removed from the prosecution of former President Donald Trump and others for racketeering/election interference.

Meanwhile, in Florida, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon may issue a ruling on Trump's Motion to Dismiss the case under the Presidential Records Act. (Cannon denied the Motion to Dismiss on unconstitutional vagueness Thursday.)

Also be on the lookout for a ruling from Judge Juan Merchan out of New York regarding a possible delay of the "hush money" trial in the case brought by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg against Trump, which was initially set to start jury selection on March 25.

Of Primary Concern

Though Biden and Trump have already clinched the nominations, GOP caucuses are on tap Friday for the Northern Mariana Islands and Saturday for Guam. (Nailbiters!)

MORNING MUSING

Yesterday was "Pi Day" (an extra special treat in the STL because our area code is 314). Sunday is St. Patrick's Day. But today — today is THE day. Yes, it's the Ides of March. But, more importantly, it's the day I became a mom 22 years ago. Proud of the young woman my girl has become.
