It's official: Former President Donald Trump has now secured enough delegates to clinch the GOP nomination. Trump started Tuesday evening with 1,077 pledged delegates. Resounding wins in Georgia and Mississippi gave him 59 and 40 delegates, respectively. That placed him at 1,176 delegates.

Now, Washington has been called for Trump as well, and since it's winner-take-all with any candidate receiving more than 50 percent of the vote, that gives him 43 additional delegates and puts him at 1,219 give or take (DDHQ has him at 1,221).

Washington is not the end of Tuesday's races for Trump, however. Hawaii's GOP Caucus is set for Tuesday evening — 6:00 - 8:00 pm local time (12:00 - 2:00 am Eastern), so that may result in him adding all or most of the Aloha State's 19 delegates to his collection.
President Joe Biden clinched the Democratic nomination earlier Tuesday evening, setting up a 2020 rematch, albeit one with a different dynamic.
The difference this time is Biden's (abysmal) record as president, Trump's numerous indictments, and, of course, the threat of a third-party challenge from No Labels and/or from now-Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
With both the Democrat and Republican nominations clinched, November is on.
