#1 - 14 American Cities Aim to Ban Meat, Dairy, Private Cars by 2030 -- by Ward Clark

It is, of course, the grossest of understatements to say that all of these proposals are anathema to the concept of personal liberty. It's also pretty obvious that were any of these cities to attempt to legislate any of this, they would be hit with mass unrest and would certainly be slapped down in the courts. There is just no justification, climate change or no climate change, to completely rewrite the very basis of our society like this. We are, or at least are supposed to be, free people, with a government that protects our rights, especially our liberty and property. Liberty, of course, includes "I'll eat what I want, I'm paying for it myself, and if anyone doesn't like it, I'll tell them where to head in." But liberty isn't the goal here; as my colleague Becky Noble recently wrote, these elites are more than willing to force compliance.

Eating meat is the very basis of humanity. People have been eating meat since there have been people. Human society had its beginnings in the act of banding together to hunt game that a single human couldn't take on alone; the beginnings of technology were when people started sharpening sticks to hunt with. The primary thing that makes us human, our brains, are huge metabolic gas-guzzlers and are made possible only by a diet that contains protein and plenty of it. It's possible to meet all of your body's energy needs with a plant-based diet, but it's a lot easier to do it with some animal protein, be it meat or dairy. And it's much more delicious, too. That matters, no matter what anyone thinks. Our diet is a big part of our quality of life; we should be able to enjoy eating.

#2 - Dick's Sporting Goods Is Learning What the Consequences of Going Woke Are -- by Bonchie

Dick's has long prided itself on being at the forefront of the push for "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," which is just a fancy phrase for when a company wastes money paying do-nothings to push far-left policies within the broader culture. It's all about showing that a company is fighting for "justice" and is "giving a voice" to the whinest, most entitled members of its workforce.

Unfortunately for corporations that went down that path, the bill for their activism is now coming due. Nothing is disconnected from the culture, and when Dick's decided to go all-in on being woke, that didn't happen in a vacuum. Rather, the company fed into a far-left behemoth that actively sought to change laws surrounding bail and shoplifting. The result has been anarchy, where criminals can walk into a store, clean out an entire section, and walk out with little fear they will be prosecuted.

#3 - Hell Is Freezing Over: CNN's Jake Tapper Admits, 'Trump Was Right, Biden Was Wrong' -- by Nick Arama

Tapper admitted, "Trump was right. I mean he did make a fortune from China, and Joe Biden was wrong. I don’t know that he was lying about it. He might not have been told by Hunter, but this blind spot is a problem." Andy Levin, a Democrat on the panel, pushed the Democratic talking point that there was nothing to connect Joe Biden, which anyone following along knows is nonsense.

Welcome to reality, Jake Tapper. We've just been saying this since 2019. We've been laying out a mountain of stories about Hunter Biden's foreign dealings and Joe Biden's various connections. The truth was there to be had if you acted like journalists in 2020 during that debate when Joe Biden was pushing that falsehood. Talk about a blind spot, CNN didn't want to address the questions about Biden.

#4 - Hilarious: Trump Flips the Script, Makes CNN's Worst Fears About Mugshot Come True -- by Nick Arama

“That's one of the questions about this sort of value of a mugshot in this case. Right?" correspondent Sara Murray whined to Kaitlan Collins.

"It's, sure, it’s treating Donald Trump if he does get one, the same as any other defendant but you’re also giving him a photo that there’s no doubt that he's gonna use on promotional material, he’s gonna use on fundraising material.”

Guess what? That's exactly what he intends to do and that's what makes it so hilarious. He's already out with the t-shirt as I reported, as well as mugs and likely other merchandise is coming. He's going to make a ton of money on it for the campaign. And why shouldn't he? As I noted, Trump is making a bigger point about fighting back against this and the weaponization of government.

#5 - Biden Leaves Jaws on the Floor With Corvette Joke During Tone-Deaf Maui Speech -- by Bonchie

But that's not the worst part of it. It would have been one thing had Biden just told another white lie to make himself seem relatable (while actually doing the opposite). In this case, though, he decided to embellish his falsehood with a joke about almost losing his precious Corvette. Yes, amidst a wasteland of suffering and death, the President of the United States thought it was a good time to tell a joke about how much he cares about his car.

I just can't with this guy. If he weren't a Democrat, he'd be facing a month-long news cycle of non-stop criticism. Remember when George W. Bush flew over the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina and the press were still talking about it three years later? Biden said "no comment" and went on vacation during a horrific fire that could end up with a death toll in the many hundreds of people. And when he finally showed up, he put on a comedy routine.
