WATCH: Kerry Kennedy's Trashing of Her Brother, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Gets Even More Grotesque

As we previously reported, several siblings of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responded with fury in response to his endorsement of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump after RFK Jr., the son of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, suspended his independent presidential campaign bid Friday.

"Our brother Bobby's decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story," the statement, issued by Kerry Kennedy and posted to the Twitter/X machine, read.

As we also noted, though, the emphasis put on Kennedy family "values" in the statement rang a little hollow considering the list of Kennedy family scandals, corruption, and malfeasance is longer than Santa's naughty list.

On Sunday, Kerry Kennedy appeared on Jen Psaki's MSNBC program where the trashing of RFK Jr. turned even more grotesque. During the segment, Kerry Kennedy all but disowned her own brother over his endorsement of Trump, claiming he was engaging in a "flagrant and inexplicable effort to desecrate and trample and set fire to my father’s memory":

“So I’m outraged and disgusted by my brother’s gaudy and obscene embrace of Donald Trump. And I completely get out and separate and dissociate myself from Robert Kennedy Jr. in this flagrant and inexplicable effort to desecrate and trample and set fire to my father’s memory,” Kerry Kennedy said Sunday.

[...]

“I think that Donald Trump is incredibly dangerous to us. And I think what Bobby has done here is anathema to everything. Not only [what] our family stands for, but what Bobby has given his life to. You know, he spent so many years out there working on protecting the environment. And that’s the opposite of what Trump plans to do,” she said.

Watch:

You know, I get that political disagreements among family members can get heated, and in some cases have even caused estrangement. But even if my family name was well known nationally with political careers that spanned generations I still cannot envision a scenario where I would go on record and treat that person with the utter contempt and hatred that some members of RFK Jr.'s family have him since he announced his run for president.

It's unseemly, obscene, and just plain wrong. They're virtue signaling and trying to say they are, in their view, on the "correct" side of things -- on the back of their brother.

Contrast this with how RFK Jr. has reacted to his family's attacks on him:

"My family is – I understand that they're troubled by my decisions. I love my family. I feel like we were raised in a milieu where we were encouraged to debate each other and debate ferociously and passionately about things and still love each other," he added. "They're free to take their positions on these issues. There are many, many members of my family working at my campaign and who are supporting me."

"I think we all need to be able to disagree with each other and still love each other," he concluded.

While Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been a class act when it comes to how some members of his family have thrown him under the bus, we can at least thank Kerry Kennedy for refreshing our memory on another Kennedy "value": Politics over family.
