Hot Takes: Woke Sociologist Hears About It After Hysterical Rant Over Thin Blue Line Stickers

There are people who can quite literally find something in every little thing to get outraged about, and that is most definitely true of Liberal White Women (LWW).

I've capitalized the phrase because they have, in my view, unofficially become somewhat of a menace to the future well-being of America, at least in terms of the twisted banners they fly in the name of "feminism," "fweedom," and of course "Social Justice™."

The latest example comes courtesy of a woman by the name of Jessica Halliday Hardie. On the Twitter machine, Ms. Hardie describes herself as an author and sociology professor, and has helpfully included the "she/her" pronouns in her bio for good measure.

On a recent trip taken via the subway system in New York City, Hardie said she and her three-year-old child had the misfortune to come in contact with members of the NYPD. It was unfortunate in her view because the officers, who likely were just trying to connect and build trust with subway riders, offered the child pro-police stickers, including a heart-shaped one with the thin blue line theme.

This was triggering for Ms. Hardie, who took to the Twitter machine to write a hysterical rant wondering at the nerve of police officers who would give her child alleged symbols of "white nationalism."

Nope, this is not a parody. This actually happened:

I mean considering the NYPD has more black and Hispanic officers than white officers, that Ms. Hardie thinks they are supporters of white nationalism or something is about as twisted as it gets.

Ms. Hardie is, of course, not alone in suffering from woke Liberal White Woman syndrome. As some of my colleagues have documented, their ranks are substantial:

If you watch the video, what you’ll see are black residents decrying the looting and destruction as harmful and counter-productive. What you’ll also see are white, liberal women proclaiming that rioting is good and necessary to attain racial equity or something. I didn’t insinuate that it would make sense, only that it would be absurd.

And then there was this:

Heavily biased to leftist causes and self-assured of her own intellectual and moral supremacy, the white leftist female activist will turn a paradise into a living hell once it moves into an area. You may be very aware of some of the most fierce activists whose predatory natures are so infamous that they make headlines.

While Ms. Hardie isn't making headlines (yet), she did hear about it in the replies to her tweet. Here were some of the better ones:

As I've said before, I predict these women, especially those in positions of influence and power, will be the downfall of our society - but only if we let them. That's why wokesters like Ms. Hardie should be called out in the court of public opinion whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Because if not now, when?
