Tara Reade Posts Alarmingly Cryptic Tweet as Matt Gaetz Turns up the Heat on Joe Biden

We haven’t heard a lot about nor from Tara Reade since the mainstream media did their level best to bury her claims of sexual assault by Joe Biden, allegations she made in March 2020 at the time when then-candidate Biden was on the verge of becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

Reade was a staffer for then-Senator Joe Biden from 1992 to 1993, and has claimed that the alleged sexual assault happened in 1993. Lending credibility to the accusation was a call her mother, who died in 2016, made to the Larry King Live show in August 1993, where she said that she was “wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.”

Though the media predictably dismissed Reade’s allegations out of hand – at various points even attempting to smear Reade in the process, Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) have sought to keep Reade’s story in the spotlight, saying they want to get to the truth and that Reade deserves to be heard.

In March, they both invited Reade, a former supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ failed presidential candidacy, to speak before the House Oversight Committee. But the Committee has reportedly shown a reluctance to make that happen, though Greene boiled that down at the time to a “miscommunication.”

Fast forward a couple of months to Sunday, when Reade took to the Twitter machine to post an alarmingly cryptic tweet where she indicated she feared for her life:

I want to make something clear. If something happens to me, all roads lead to Joe Biden. Joe Biden and DNC political machine threats, bullying and intimidation over the last three years will not work. I am not suicidal. I should not be under investigation nor am I a foreign agent. I am a private citizen. I was a former staffer of Joe Biden’s that has chosen to step forward to tell the truth. The tactics using intimidation and bullying to silence me and suppress me using DOJ and FBI and social media will not work. Leave me alone. I will testify under oath in Congress if asked to do so and tell what happened and what I know. The Biden corruption must end. Period Thank you @RepMTG and @mattgaetz for inviting me to testify and caring about the truth!

The next day, Gaetz posted a clip from an interview he did noting that his and Greene’s interview “weeks ago” with Reade was pretty powerful, and that he found her to be one of the “most credible witnesses” he’s ever spoken with. Gaetz also announced that he and MTG were “sending a demand for records to the Secretary of the Senate because we believe that Tara Reade’s employment records will further corroborate the claims she has made.”

“I’m on this sub-committee that’s supposed to look at the weaponization of our government,” Gaetz went on to say. “And nothing is a sicker weaponization than what her allegations set forth.”

Watch:

It’s unclear whether or not a hearing on these matters – both the original allegation and Reade’s statement that she is being targeted by federal law enforcement types in the Biden admin – will take place in the near term. Republican leaders on key committees want to keep the focus on the “bombshell” they’ve told us is coming Wednesday regarding the “entire Biden family” which presumably includes Hunter Biden’s questionable overseas business dealings and Joe Biden’s connections to them.

But Gaetz and Greene have made clear they are not going to let the Tara Reade issue go away, and if they are indeed successful in getting her to testify before a House committee on down the line, the mainstream media will be forced to revisit the story at a most inconvenient time not only for them but, more importantly, for Joe Biden.

As always, stay tuned.
