Because apparently he’s solved all the problems in his state, like for instance the homeless crisis, rising violent crime rates, fentanyl pouring across the border, continuing power grid issues, and a mass exodus of fed-up residents and businesses, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has seen fit over the last couple of years or so to sniff around in the backyards of red states and take swipes at the governors of those states.

In every instance, the governors have hit back hard, including Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The latest example is no different and came in response to Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signing a bill into law Thursday that effectively bans drag queen shows in public places, especially any place where the show could be viewed by a child.

Naturally, the woke left and their allies in the mainstream press are freaking out over LGBTQ rights supposedly being violated or whatever, as evidenced by this tweet from the Associated Press:

Newsom saw the tweet and thought it would be a good idea to post the following response:

Tennessee has the 8th highest murder rate in the nation.

It ranks 44th among states for health outcomes.

A day later, Gov. Lee fired back – and mic-dropped Newsom in the process:

I mean, really. The nerve of Newsom to think he is in any position to pretend to have the moral high ground over anyone else:

And about that crime rate? What Newsom and others who make the same bogus “red state murder problem” argument always leave out is that it’s the Democrat-run cities in those red states that usually are causing the problems – and Tennessee is no exception to that rule.

Part of me wants these governors to tell Newsom to stay in his lane and clean up his own messes before he throws stones elsewhere, but I’m kinda glad he’s nosing around in other states’ respective business and being so public about it, because it gives the Republican governors a chance to set the record straight — and shut him down in the process.
