Joe Biden Embarrasses Himself and Undermines CDC During Visit With Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter

Throughout his campaign last year and on into the start of his presidential administration, Joe Biden and other officials on his team have implored the American people to “trust the science!” when it comes to mask-wearing, social distancing, and not gathering in large groups.

In fact, on the day of his inauguration, he seemingly wanted to prove his commitment to mask-wearing by signing an executive order mandating wearing one when on federal property. It’s a mask mandate that both he and members of the First Family violated within hours of him signing it.

Since that time, Biden has rarely been seen without a mask whether inside the White House around other people who are also fully vaccinated or outside when he’s talking at a distance with reporters or walking to Marine One or Air Force One. All of this despite CDC guidelines that say you don’t have to socially distance or wear a mask indoors when you’re around others who have also been fully vaccinated, and in spite of the recently announced update to the CDC guidelines about how you don’t need to wear a mask outdoors “except in certain crowded settings and venues” (like concerts, etc.).

And yet Biden continues to undermine the very science regarding masks that he routinely touts, with the latest example being his recent visit with former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

The Carter Center released an official photograph of the Bidens’ visit to the Carters’ Georgia home, and in it, you see that none of them are wearing masks. No problem there as they all have no doubt been fully vaccinated so there is no need to wear a mask nor socially distance yourself per the CDC recommendations:

So much for inspiring confidence in the coronavirus vaccine you want everyone to trust enough to take, right?

The only thing great to see in that video was 93-year-old Rosalynn Carter being a gracious southern lady and hostess, walking her visitors to the door and then standing there and watching them off. What was not great to see was President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden wearing masks when they didn’t need to.

I should point out that this was not the only Georgia event where the Bidens made a theater production out of wearing masks outdoors. During an appearance with Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock late last week, Biden noted while standing at the podium that he had “lost” his mask and that he would be “in trouble” if he didn’t find it. In the background, you could see a handler scurrying around to find one and give it to him.

This was at an outdoor event where it appears rally attendees were socially distanced and sitting in their cars.

As I’ve said before, if we’re supposed to “trust the science!”, why can’t Biden and his team do a better job of demonstrating that they trust it themselves?
