Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski had an absolute meltdown on the Twitter machine earlier today, directing several tweets to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in hopes he will ban President Trump after he posted tweets that she and husband Joe Scarborough find offensive and libelous.
Among them are Trump’s numerous references this month to the death of 28-year-old intern Lori Klausutis, who was found dead in Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach, FL office in 2001. Scarborough was a member of Congress at the time.
After Trump brought up Klausutis’s death in November 2017, the AP “fact checked” his claim that it was a “mystery”, writing that “an autopsy revealed that Klausutis had an undiagnosed heart condition and a coroner concluded she passed out and hit her head as she fell.” Scarborough was reportedly in Washington, D.C. at the time.
Brzezinski, who addressed Trump on MSNBC this morning over the issue, also took to the Twitter machine to plead with Dorsey to do something about Trump:
.@twitter need to know why trump is not banned?

Unfortunately for Mika, some Twitter users took the opportunity to remind her of some inconvenient truths about herself, about Joe, and their storied history with Trump:
You guys literally helped Trump get the nomination by giving him 24/7 coverage and then *helping Trump with the debates.*
Now you want to pretend that it's Twitter's fault that they're giving him a platform?
I hope those sweet ratings during the primaries were worth it. pic.twitter.com/ihA0Y5VCvJ

In bettter times. When @morningmika hosted @realDonaldTrump many times along with going to his parties. Like with the Zucker v Trump fight that *consumes* @CNN. These fight are just ex-friends battling in public and using their vast resources to do it. It’s not journalism. pic.twitter.com/VlLj9SkCbO

Also, it never hurts to throw one of these in for good measure:

It’s almost as though Mika isn’t happy that she and Joe don’t get to control what people think:
Sounds about right. pic.twitter.com/VCUKoNjqN1
