Earlier this week, I wrote about how the New York Times allowed Cui Tiankai, China’s ambassador to the United States, premium op/ed space to deceptively call for peace and harmony between China and the United States as the battle against the Wuhan coronavirus rages on.

Two days after the China op/ed was published, State Dept. spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus tweeted out a screen grab of the piece, welcoming the offer but noting that China must begin being honest and forthcoming with all necessary information, and to allow people to be able to speak freely about it:

China’s foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying replied by remarking on the Captain Brett Crozier incident, falsely insinuating the United States had tried to silence him regarding the conditions of some of his crew members. She also accused the U.S. of ordering the firings of healthcare workers who have been critical about alleged supply/equipment shortages:

Oh no she didn’t go there!?

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr saw her snide reply and took the opportunity to drop multiple truth bombs on her regarding China’s Wuhan virus whistleblowers:
