That mainstream media news outlets have for weeks been parroting China’s talking points about the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus in their country and our efforts here in the United States at combating it is not new news.

But the New York Times has quickly emerged as the media’s standard bearer for how to go full propaganda tool for China in record time.

Their latest example comes by way of allowing Cui Tiankai, China’s ambassador to the United States, premium op/ed space to deceptively call for peace and harmony between China and the United States as the battle against the Wuhan coronavirus rages on. Among other things, Tiankai claimed that China’s government “has been providing updates about the disease in a responsible manner”:

China has been providing updates about the disease in a responsible manner, including setting up an online Covid-19 knowledge center that’s available to all countries.

While the knowledge center is helpful for our medical professionals, the claim about China’s updates about their cases is an outright lie.

Tiankai also wrote in the piece that “scapegoating other countries” was not the thing to do, in spite of the fact that it was China’s government who deliberately started the false rumor that the United States military planted the virus in Wuhan:

There is also this hypocrisy from China’s communist government:

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the New York Times has given valuable space in their newspaper to promoting China’s propaganda, and it won’t be the last:

And while the Times is busy spinning like tops on behalf of China, they’re simultaneously using their opinion pages to bash President Trump’s handling of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.

Of course.

You couldn’t make this garbage up if you tried.
