Since Rasmussen reported Monday that a potential Trump vs. Clinton matchup would be “neck and neck” if she was running for president again at this very moment, there’s been some chatter on social media as to whether or not Hillary Clinton should consider giving it another try.
She’d be late to the game if she did, considering we’re just a few months away from the first round of primaries and caucuses. But it would give her a chance at revenge for what she’s routinely claimed without evidence for a couple of years now now: That the 2016 election was “stolen” from her.
With that in mind, we turn to a tweet from President Trump from earlier today in which he encouraged his former opponent to throw her hat into the ring:
I think that Crooked Hillary Clinton should enter the race to try and steal it away from Uber Left Elizabeth Warren. Only one condition. The Crooked one must explain all of her high crimes and misdemeanors including how & why she deleted 33,000 Emails AFTER getting “C” Subpoena!

Just a few hours later, Clinton responded:
Don’t tempt me. Do your job.

“Don’t tempt me” is about as close as she’ll come to admitting she’s still considering a late entrance into the 2020 field. She’s been on a book promo tour with daughter Chelsea for the last several weeks, and she’s done numerous interviews with Democrat-friendly media outlets and programs like “The View”, People magazine, and CBS News. Their coverage of her could not possibly be more fawning.
Months in advance of her 2016 announcement she was telling the mainstream media she wasn’t going to run, but she ended up doing exactly that. And once she won the nomination she was convinced she had the presidency in the bag.
But she didn’t.
She would love nothing more than to get a second go at Trump for two reasons: 1) She wants to be the woman who breaks the glass ceiling and 2) She seriously believes he’s an “illegitimate” president and thinks she can do what she couldn’t in 2016: win.
She’s delusional, but her jumping into the ring could greatly heighten the entertainment value of the primary and general election campaign seasons.
I’ve got three words for her: Run, Hillary. Run!
