In the wake of January 6th, there has been a lot of use of the word “insurrection.”  I believe the narrative goes a little something like this:

On January 6th, Trump told all of his supporters to raid the US Capitol and take control of the US Government. The 100 percent violent crowd walked from the speech to Capitol Hill, rioting the entire way. Once they arrived at the Capitol, one of the generals, dressed in Trump-supporter ritualistic uniform, complete with animal skins and war paint, took control of the US Government, temporarily becoming its head. Only after the brave actions of US Capitol Police, who in no way let these people into the building or acted violently in any capacity including shooting an unarmed woman, was the violent insurrection stopped and order restored.  

Now, in the wake of January 6th, anyone asking questions about it is considered no better than the people who raided the Capitol that day.  Words like “treason,” “sedition,” or even “insurrection” are thrown about regarding the vast majority of people who broke nothing, stole nothing, and injured no one.  As J6ers have found themselves in jail, being denied their very basic human rights, and are having their Constitutional rights trampled, the left sits back and cheers under the guise of “They got what was coming to them.”

To be clear, I do not support the actions taken by a select few that day at the US Capitol.  That being said, it was in no way anything more than a brief, momentary chaos led by a few wackos.  To suggest otherwise is a distraction from talking about other real and very important issues…  Like how the left and the media conspired to overthrow the US Government and remove a legally elected President by any means necessary.

The dawn of the COVID age brought a lot of unknowns to the world and the media, set on destroying Trump, attempted to make anything that occurred his fault. Whether it was the initial spread or the mounting death toll, the left constantly attempted to make every shortfall Trump’s fault.  As time went on and the data became clearer, we came to find out that policies and persons which were championed by the left and media as “courage” and “leadership” led to the unnecessary deaths of tens of thousands of people nationally.  The CDC released studies that contradicted the data in practice, saying “masks work” but failing to provide a single correlation between increased mask compliance and lower transmission, hospitalization, and death rates.

When Trump was infected with COVID-19, the media secretly hoped for his death, and collectively hated when he, as a 74-year-old overweight man, made a full recovery within a few days after having been treated by the very treatments they had been telling the world, didn’t work.  When Trump’s Administration approved the first vaccines, they allowed for leftists to openly question the safety of the vaccine, only to demand complete fealty to those same vaccines after January 20th, 2021.  Despite Trump’s continued support and vocal advocacy for vaccine compliance, being unvaxxed was weaponized against Trump supporters simply because they decided to not accept those vaccines when, classicly, anti-vaxxers are granola-munching leftists.  When VP-Elect Kamala Harris instructed people to not trust vaccines, the media celebrated it.  If a soccer mom from Des Moines does the same thing regarding the hasty vaccine approval for her child, she is called a conspiracy theorist.

When Trump suggested that China was responsible for the initial outbreak and that the virus may have come from a Chinese viral lab, the media called such talk, “xenophobia.” For more than a year, they made it a crime against the media to suggest that the Wuhan Institute of Virology may have been the source of the virus, and that the potential exists that US Government officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, may have funded the very research which created this virus.  Facts like, “They were conducting research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Lab” and “The Wuhan Institute of Virology was storing a virus which shares 96 percent of its genetic code with SARS-CoV-2” (the virus responsible for the COVID-19 infections) were considered heresy.

With Trump wounded from COVID coverage, the media then went on a spree of Biden-positive treatment in coverage about his race to the White House.  As rumors swirled regarding Biden’s health and mental wellbeing, the media would never cover Biden’s flubs, leaving it only to their “fact-checkers” to “translate” what “he really meant” when he said things like “Trunalimunumaprzure.”  When Biden would disappear for days at a time, or call a lid on the press at 9 AM, no questions were ever allowed regarding Biden’s fitness to be President and answered with classic whataboutisms regarding Trump.  Later in the race, when Hunter Biden’s unsavory behavior was exposed, the media conspired with leftists in government to label any coverage of Hunter’s behavior as “Russian Disinformation.”  When we reported on the Hunter Biden story here at RedState, the mainstream media labeled us “pizzagate conspiracy theorists.”

When Biden appeared to be victorious in the election, the media and tech giants labeled any questions regarding the outcome of the election as “unAmerican,” and not based in fact.  Yet, when people ask questions regarding their lack of coverage of the fact that Pennsylvania State Officials ignored an order from the United States Supreme Court regarding the separation of ballots, there’s no response.  When people question why there was record turnout in Dane County, home to the University of Wisconsin, in the middle of a pandemic where students are not present on campus, we are told to look away.  When we ask why poll watchers in Georgia were told counting was being stopped until the morning, only to resume immediately after they left the building, we are told that we are making a mountain out of a molehill.

And all this direct action which cost millions if not billions to put into motion, from the same people who think that 100k of spending from the Russians affected the outcome of 2016.  For four years, we heard nothing but garbage from these same people about Trump’s legitimacy, and conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory about how Trump met with Russians or was being blackmailed by Russians or that he was a Russian asset. Yet, time and time again we found that they were doing nothing more than spinning a web of lies.

In reality, who had more effect on the outcome of the election?  About a tenth of a million dollars spent by Russians on social media advertising, or a concerted and organized conspiracy by the media and the American left to defraud the American voter of the truth about the candidates for which they had the opportunity to vote?  The media and left lied about Trump, they lied about COVID, they lied about Biden and then they lied about the election, and yet somehow they demand that we stop talking about the 2020 election while they still talk about 2016?  They lecture us about the “most secure election in our history” yet cannot tell you who voted when and where, and in what precinct in the country.  It is a total farce.

The treasonous and seditious behavior of the media and left was absolutely an insurrection.  Comparisons to January 6th are laughable because what were the stated goals of J6 “insurrectionists?”  What were they going to accomplish?  What would a “successful insurrection” look like to them?

Now, ask yourself the same for the media and the American left.  Ask yourself if a media insurrection would have had any different result than the one which we were given.

I just hope that someday soon, these treasonous snakes “get what is coming to them.”
