President Trump railed against "bad ship" politicians in Minnesota, taking pointed jabs at Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-5) and Gov. Tim Walz (D) as the fraud scandal in that state continues to erupt.
Trump made the comments in an interview with POLITICO’s Dasha Burns on Monday.
The remarks directed at Omar will no doubt receive the most attention, echoing suggestions from years ago that the Congresswoman should try to fix up Somalia and stop complaining about the country in which she serves as a lawmaker.
Trump had initially been discussing the "incredible" people of Venezuela who have been treated horribly by President Nicolás Maduro, leaving an opening for Burns to inquire as to whether they represent the type of immigrants he would like to see in America. The President pivoted to pointing out what he does not want to see: non-contributing, dead weight siphoning from the American taxpayer.
"Yeah, I want to see people that contribute. I don’t want to see Somalia. I don’t want to see a woman that, you know, marries her brother to get in and then becomes a congressman and does nothing but complain," the President fired back.
"Let her go back, fix up her own country."

Bessent Brings the Fire on the MN Fraud Scandal, Omar Gives Bad Answers to Good Questions
Trump pointed out that he had been railing against Somali fraudsters well before the latest explosive allegations, slamming the "incompetent" Walz in the process.
Which, "incompetent" being a more sanitized version of what he's called the governor in the past.
"I started complaining about Somalia long before the scandal," said Trump. "The horrible things they’re doing to Minnesota, it’s incredible. They have an incompetent governor there, too. The democrats are running some bad ships."
Walz is facing intense scrutiny and mounting calls for an investigation into his role in allowing the state's exploding multi-billion-dollar welfare fraud schemes to take place under his watch. Those schemes, as reported by RedState on Friday, involve taxpayer-funded fraud across multiple public assistance programs and could amount to over $8 billion.
Both Walz and Omar came under fire after photos revealed they had posed with Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, a Somali illegal immigrant with prior asylum and fraud convictions in Canada, who has been illegally staying in the U.S. despite deportation orders in 2004.
Criminal illegal alien, Abdul Dahir Ibrahim has been linked to Minnesota's top sanctuary politicians. In these pictures Ibrahim can be seen with @GovTimWalz, @Ilhan, and @OmarFatehMN.

A significant percentage of the latest fraud findings was allegedly perpetrated by members of the state’s large Somali community. Omar has long been a vocal advocate for the community. She moved to the United States in 1995, when she was 12, after her family fled the civil war in Somalia.
Right on cue, she's actually defending the Somali community as the victims in this situation.
“You know, this also has an impact on Somalis because we are also taxpayers in Minnesota," she said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
"We could have also benefited from the program and the money that was stolen.”

Minnesota, reeling from news of a $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud case, saw the City Journal uncover further trouble weeks ago, with Somalis allegedly taking advantage of the state's Medicaid Housing Stabilization Services program. They've even been accused of funneling millions of those fraudulently obtained funds to the terror group Al-Shabaab.
Trump swiftly responded to the nefarious activity by ripping away Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program) for Somalis in Minnesota.
"Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great State, and BILLIONS of Dollars are missing. Send them back to where they came from," he demanded. "It’s OVER!"

In a follow-up post on social media, the President, responding to the terrorist attack on two members of the National Guard in Washington, D.C., announced a significant crackdown on immigration from all third-world countries. In the process, he reminded the American people of the fraud in the North Star State and torched Omar and her "swaddling hijab" along with the "seriously retarded" Walz.
So, "bad ships" is an understatement. "Incompetent" is an accurate term applicable to both Walz and Omar. But it feels well past time for someone to be labeled a "criminal" over the scandal.
