Kanye West Runs For Reelection

Kindred Souls Joined In Their Mutual Bigotry

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

– Kanye West

There is something to be said for honesty in politics*. They won’t be saying whatever it is about President Barack Obama – ever. As soon as then-Senator Barack Obama heard Kanye West’s commentary on what had happened to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, he saw a golden opportunity to race-bait and to demagogue. The Daily Caller has caught him saying to some Americans what he would never quite want to share with us all. Examine, if you will, his *feelings* towards the middle class. Particularly those who live in the evil suburbs.

Rachel Maddow’s reaction to this video was predictable. It’s all a conspiracy to make us think Barack Obama’s dad came from Africa or something. Never mind the 8% unemployment for 44 straight months. Never mind the unprecedented $4,500 drop in median family income and never let MSNBC even mention the increases in health insurance premiums after we signed ObamaCare to save us all. The cutting-edge issue here is whether the man really does up his hair with Afro-Sheen™. She speaks with her typical perspicacity and intellect below.

MSNBC’s RACHEL MADDOW: “This is supposed to make you believe that in this tape from before he was president, Barack Obama is revealing his secret plan to be way more black than he seems to you now. This is how he snuck into the White House, right? People didn’t know he was this black and if they would have known he was this black, they never would have elected. That’s the idea here, right?”

No, Rachel Dear, it goes back to a fundamental link between iniquitous core beliefs and deleterious results. William Jennings Bryan and Barry Commoner both felt the same way about bourgeois wealth that our current president does in the speech excerpt shown above. American electorates didn’t vote against either of those two buffoons for being black. They voted against those two for being a lot more honest about their own antipathy than Barack Obama typically is about his.

What iniquitous core beliefs? How could I say that about Dominus et Deus, Barack I? Well, in the spirit of Kanye West, he raves on below.

“Down in New Orleans, where they still have not rebuilt 20 months later,” Obama says, “there’s a law, federal law — when you get reconstruction money from the federal government — called the Stafford Act. And basically it says, when you get federal money, you’ve got to give a 10 percent match. The local government’s got to come up with 10 percent. Every 10 dollars the federal government comes up with, local government’s got to give a dollar.
“Now here’s the thing, when 9/11 happened in New York City, they waived the Stafford Act — said, ‘This is too serious a problem. We can’t expect New York City to rebuild on its own. Forget that dollar you got to put in. Well, here’s 10 dollars.’ And that was the right thing to do. When Hurricane Andrew struck in Florida, people said, ‘Look at this devastation. We don’t expect you to come up with y’own money, here. Here’s the money to rebuild. We’re not going to wait for you to scratch it together — because you’re part of the American family.’ … What’s happening down in New Orleans? Where’s your dollar? Where’s your Stafford Act money? Makes no sense. Tells me that somehow, the people down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much.”

Thus, in another unintentional moment of Kinsleyian candor, Huey “The Kingfish” Biden lays out how things have gone under the president who hates the suburbs and who believes New Orleans was intentionally denied aid because so much of its population is black. “How they can justify raising taxes on the middle class that’s been buried in the last four years?” Biden inquires.

Well, Joey Einstein, here’s how it works.
1) Barack Obama Sincerely believes white people do not consider African Americans equally valid citizens in the US.

2) Barack Obama hates them for doing this.

3) Barack Obama gets elected with ample majorities in both houses of Congress on his side.

4) Payback is a canine of feminine gender. A dish best served cold.

5) America’s president is a soul on ice.

I admonish all ten or so of my constant readers to connect the dots that Good Old “Differently-Abled” Joe doesn’t seem to being connecting. Then vote accordingly. Romney-Ryan 2012. That is all.

*-Prominent Liberal, Michael Kinsley once described it as a class of mistake.
