Sen. Paul tweeted:

“Kelley and I want to thank everyone once again for your thoughts and prayers for my recovery. While I’m still in a good deal of pain, I will be returning to work in the Senate today, ready to fight for liberty and help move forward with tax cuts in the coming days and weeks.”

The Paul’s neighbor of 17 years, Rene Boucher, attacked Sen. Paul at his home in a “blindside, violent attack” on Friday, Nov. 3 for reasons that still remain unclear. Boucher has pleaded not guilty to fourth-degree assault.

Paul suffered six fractured ribs and subsequent buildup of fluid around his lungs and was recuperating last week. He returns to a busy Senate schedule and the controversy surrounding Senate candidate Roy Moore, whom Paul previously endorsed.
