Joe Biden's cognitive decline in 2024 (and before) was clear to anyone with eyes and ears.
Yet the Democrats and their acolytes in the media ran a game that they didn't know it until it was revealed to them during Biden's disastrous debate on June 27, 2024. That is simply not credible. Not only that, but they also attacked those who raised the issue before that point, asking us to deny the reality we saw before us.
What Rep. Nancy Pelosi (CA-11), 86, just said at Politico's "The California Agenda: Sacramento Summit" was also a steaming load of bull cookies. She claimed she "didn't really know," and only saw Biden three times in all of 2024 because she was no longer Speaker of the House.

Then she threw everyone else under the bus, including the White House staff and the Biden family: “I do think that those who did know should have acted upon that information. Whoever knew,” she claimed. “There was staff saying the family knew. The family said the staff.” Remember, Jill Biden was trying to sell us on how she never saw her husband in that condition before.

Now, I don't believe Pelosi for a red-hot second that she didn't know. But if she didn't, what does that say about her judgment? Plus, she wants us to think she didn't know and couldn't make a judgment because she only saw him three times that year.
But at the same time, she was insisting that he was in good condition.
Here's what she said at the time.
The following month, Pelosi touted Biden’s “wisdom, experience, strength and strategic thinking” after the Wall Street Journal published a story — more than three weeks before the debate — in which more than 45 Republican and Democratic lawmakers and staffers reported the president spoke so softly during meetings that participants struggled to understand him, did not appear to know what policies were in place, and relied on aides to answer direct questions.
Pelosi decried the Journal story in a June 5, 2024, X post as a “hit piece” that “ignored testimony by Democrats” and “focused on attacks by Republicans.”
Here she was in July 2023. As we reported, there were questions then too, and she claimed Biden was "a kid" compared to her. There had been evidence for years.

So much for the worth of anything she has to say.

As we reported, in the same interview, she also tried to sell people on the idea that California Gov. Gavin Newsom had some worth, praising his "strategic thinking" and "knowledge of the issues." Sounds like what she said about Biden on “wisdom, experience, strength and strategic thinking," but, hilariously, without the "wisdom, experience, strength" part.

I don't know what "so operational" means. The Washington press types are saying that is high praise from Pelosi.
The switch to apparent praise at this point is interesting, particularly in light of Pelosi appearing to cast left in her vote on Israeli aid funding. Is she throwing in with the further left? She's out the door in January, when she finally gives up her seat. Is this an effort to help AOC or an effort to do her in, knowing a Pelosi endorsement probably would hurt her with the further left?
The comment blew up on X as the left weighed in, with most finding the praise problematic for Ocasio-Cortez.

So if Pelosi meant it as praise, it may just have had the opposite effect.
