I think it's safe to say that Dr. Anthony Fauci did not have a very good day on Wednesday.
Fauci appeared before the Senate Homeland Security Committee. He was ripped to shreds by angry lawmakers after he invoked the Fifth Amendment over 100 times to avoid answering their questions about his actions in regard to the COVID pandemic and the things revealed in his diary.
As a consequence, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said they were going to vote on a contempt motion against him next week. Then the Department of Justice would have to decide if they were going to pursue action against Fauci.
As Sister Toldjah and I wrote, being publicly taken apart by lawmakers was in some ways the hardest thing for him to stomach — the guy who seems to be so obsessed with what people think about him — being called out before the world. The look on his face during questioning by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) was priceless; it was so eating at him that he couldn't respond.

The Type of Punishment That Will Hurt Fauci the Most
Turns out he was still steamed and gutted, even after the hearing, according to the New York Post. They apparently overheard him as he was walking with his wife later in the day. He reportedly dropped an "F-bomb" about being shouted at.

Dr. Anthony Fauci was overheard blowing off steam after a brutal day on Capitol Hill — angrily venting to his wife, Christine Grady, about someone “shouting” at him.
The couple, married for 41 years, were spotted Wednesday evening power-walking near their $2.4 million home in a tony neighborhood in Washington, DC.
Fauci, fumbling with his phone and donning a Georgetown University “IronMed 5K” T-shirt, complained that someone “was shouting at me” and dropped an F-bomb as he got his steps in shortly after the tongue-lashing he received from Republican senators.
Awww. How dare they shout at his august presence? Somehow the fact he was still so burnt warms the cockles of my heart, just a bit.
Laura Ingraham had a little fun with him.
Now it would be appropriate for him to wear a mask. https://t.co/gmuI4i8wh4

Podcaster Katie Miller suggested he was probably on the phone with a reporter. The diary revealed how deep his contact with reporters was.

But, of course, save the best comment for Sen. Paul.
Walk it off https://t.co/u4B4OQNYMd

"Walk it off," he snarked.
A variety of actions are being considered regarding Fauci's actions, including state actions and Rand Paul's contempt move.
So Fauci may not be able to walk away from all of that in the end.
