Bad News for Those Six Democrats Who Made 'Illegal Orders' Video

What's the old expression? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Six Democrats who made the video encouraging members of the military to refuse "illegal orders" stepped right into that old maxim. The video caused righteous furor and understandable concern about the effect it could have. The six Democrats were Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Jason Crow (CO-6), along with Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ). Kelly alleged without evidence in the video that "this administration" was "pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens."

The Department of War announced it would be reviewing allegations of misconduct against Kelly over the clip. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth slammed the video as a "politically-motivated influence operation" and noted they hadn't outlined any specific illegal orders. Kelly was asked about this on MS NOW on Monday, and again, he couldn't list anything.

"In the military, vague rhetoric and ambiguity undermines trust, creates hesitation in the chain of command, and erodes cohesion," Hegseth wrote. "The military already has clear procedures for handling unlawful orders. It does not need political actors injecting doubt into an already clear chain of command."

That, of course, is the problem with what they did.

Now, there's more news for the six.

The FBI and Department of Justice have contacted Capitol Police to schedule interviews with the six members of Congress who appeared in a controversial video urging service members to ignore orders they may deem illegal, Fox News has learned.

More:

The Justice Department official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the interviews were to determine "if there's any wrongdoing and then go from there." The FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The interviews will put them on the record with the FBI. They will likely ask things like how they came to do this video, who was involved, and what their aim was. And if they don't tell the truth, that could be a problem. Let's see if they do the interviews or try to duck them. If they duck them, that will tell you something, too.

The Democrats have taken their Trump Derangement Syndrome to new heights, and now it's backfiring on them. We've seen it from the Epstein files to this video. Not only could this potentially create confusion in the military, but what must our enemies think when senators and representatives take such actions? They think they're going to smear President Donald Trump, but what they're really doing is raising more questions about their own actions.
