We saw some folks truly enjoying Halloween over the last couple of days.
We reported on the fun interactions President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump had with the children who visited the White House for candy. On Thursday night, Trump put candy on the head of one of the trick-or-treaters, much to Melania's amusement as she cracked up.
President Trump has such a great sense of humor. He recreated the moment he put candy on top of one of the kid’s heads. Hilarious. How can anyone hate this man? 😂 pic.twitter.com/fsRO6Ps2wv

Even CNN's senior data analyst, Harry Enten, was getting into the holiday by wearing a dumpster fire inflatable outfit. That was perhaps truly appropriate for CNN, although Enten himself is one of the few enjoyable elements at the network because of his enthusiasm for his numbers.
CNN is hot garbage.

But @ForecasterEnten (Harry Enten) is an absolute legend! pic.twitter.com/VZmBR9IS4B
But then there was Vice President JD Vance.
Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13) asked Vance if he would wear a sombrero she sent over to the White House for Halloween. The sombrero has become a symbol to mock the Democrats over continuing their government shutdown.
I just sent this MAGA sombrero over to the @WhiteHouse . Do you think @JDVance should wear it for Halloween? pic.twitter.com/61nGaEltEm

Vance enjoyed Luna's post, but replied that he could not because he already had his costume.
🤣

But I've already got a costume https://t.co/CGJt07CsFJ
That prompted speculation.
Then, a few hours later, we got to see what he meant.

He was riffing off of one of the memes that has gone viral about him. In March, the internet was set ablaze with people making up all kinds of memes about Vance.

People loved it and he also used another meme to wish everyone, "Happy Halloween!"

Then he finished it off with a full video message, in costume, reminding kids, "Remember to say thank you while you trick or treat!"

“Happy Halloween everyone, remember to say thank you while you trick or treat!” pic.twitter.com/YoKhKmeP6w
That was a reference to the contentious meeting earlier in 2025, when Vance chastised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for not saying thank you for the help the United States has given to Ukraine.
Good to have a leader that has a sense of humor. We see that with Trump, so it's good to see that Vance also enjoys connecting with people and being funny.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
