Democrats can't seem to stop the bleeding as they continue to wallow in disarray.
One of the biggest signs of their failure is that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is one of their loudest voices. That's not going to end well for the Democrats if she is their face because she's constantly stepping in it. But, then again, their other faces/loud voices, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), aren't doing any better.
Crockett spoke at a SiriusXM "Urban View" town hall on Friday. A clip of some of her remarks has now been released. I don't think those remarks are going to improve the disarray. She was speaking about who might be the Democratic presidential candidate in 2028.

"It is this fear that the people within the party, within the primary system, will have about voting for a woman because every time we voted for a woman, we’ve lost, so far," she said in a clip posted to Instagram. "And I think that that’s a natural fear because we just want to win."
"So there’s a lot of people that are like, ‘You know what? 'Let’s go find the safest White boy we can find,’" Crockett added. "I mean, I’m just saying."
"No, for real. And to be clear, when we talk about them, I can tell you that there is one specific candidate," the Texas lawmaker said. "I had a donor on the phone with me telling me that all the donors are lining up behind that candidate. So I can tell, and I tell you, it’s not a Black person, nor a woman, OK?"
"They have chosen," she said, referring to donors.
I don't think they could have chosen already, but it is funny that she's fretting over it.
She appears to be implying that the donors are being a bit racist. That isn't going to make the donors happy with her. Then, too, she's referring to a male fellow Democrat as a "white boy," which is also a diminishing derogatory comment.
The problem, of course, isn't that voters were rejecting the prior Democratic women presidential candidates based on race or sex; Democrats just put up lousy candidates. The problem is a failure of ideas and results. So they can put up the "safest" person, but it won't help them if that person still has the same failed Democrat policies.
Then, too, that raises the question of who it is that she thinks the donors are coalescing around. My guess would be California Gov. Gavin Newsom. There are a few other white males that might be in the mix, including Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Tim Walz. All of those candidates have big issues and would have difficulty in a general election, so I don't think any of them is "safe."
But she should just keep talking, because the more she does, the better it is for Republicans.
