One of the first executive actions that President Donald Trump took was to pull the security clearances of the 51 former intel officials who were involved in the infamous letter about the Hunter Biden laptop.
That action from Trump prompted a whining fit from former CIA Director John Brennan, who was one of the signatories of that letter.
On Sunday, Brennan was still whining on MSNBC's "The Weekend." This time, he was railing about the roles the Director of National Intelligence and Director of the CIA play in making sure people who have to make the decisions are fully informed about what the reality is. If they withhold things or "skew things," it's really going to be detrimental, he declared.

Brennan claimed it was "so, so dangerous" if they just gave Trump the information he wanted to hear.
"And none of the six presidents I worked for ever wanted the intelligence community to give them what they wanted. They wanted the Intel Committee to give them what they needed, and then they can make the appropriate policy decisions taking into account what the intelligence says."
Talk about projection -- what was that letter about the Hunter Biden laptop? And what about that CIA spying on the Senate? How was no one ever really punished for that? Imagine him thinking he has any credibility to talk about anyone else. He really has some gall.
As former acting CIA Director Michael Morell admitted, he organized the letter in order to try to help Joe Biden. And the laptop was of course real, and it wasn't Russian disinformation. But it enabled Biden to have a talking point to try to spin it away.
Trump's Director of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, has a lot of intel experience. Despite that, he's honest, and he won confirmation. If Brennan is trying to talk smack against Tulsi Gabbard, the nominee for Director of National Intelligence, that's a great endorsement for her, if Brennan doesn't want her and is scrambling like this.
It says everything about MSNBC that they continue to have this character on, as though anything he has to say is worth anything. Journalist Matt Taibbi said reporters who take him seriously should be ashamed. And given it's MSNBC, there probably aren't a lot of people even watching what he has to say.
He sounds hysterical because he realizes nobody trusts him or takes him seriously. He knows he has lost the ability to persuade persuadable senators to vote against Tulsi Gabbard. https://t.co/JiTUjIHfee

This also just confirms what a great idea it was to pull his clearance. Perhaps worth noting, he's one of the people who did not get a pardon from Joe Biden on his way out the door.
