CBS News Gets Decimated Over Story Pushing New Dem Talking Point About Trump Medical Records

At this point, we're seeing media shame themselves as they go over the slide trying to provide cover for Kamala Harris as her campaign continues to implode.

The latest was how the New York Times tried to downplay it after she was nailed for plagiarizing sections of her book. How much plagiarism is enough? And do you get a bye when you are the Democratic candidate? Once upon a time, when the press was still real, such an offense would make you have to quit. Now, CBS is running a story about a letter from 238 doctors, nurses, and "healthcare professionals" — most of whom support Kamala Harris and organized by "Doctors for Harris," which CBS said was unaffiliated with the campaign— who think former President Donald Trump should release his medical records. This seems to be in line with the new Democratic talking point that Kamala Harris debuted over the weekend. The Democrats don't have much when this is all they have to throw out there.

First, it should be noted that Trump has released a letter from his doctor certifying he was fit to run, as we previously reported. Then he's had updates since he was shot from another doctor as well. He and Vance have set a blistering schedule, and they've done 74 interviews, plus rallies and other events. Harris hasn't even come close to matching such a pace. Then, too, it's hard to match the strength of a guy who jumps up shouting "Fight, fight, fight!" after being shot in the ear by an attempted assassin's bullet.

Second, really, who cares what people who support Harris think? And 230 "health care professionals" is an incredibly small number in the light of all health care professionals. This is like pulling out the 51 former intel officials again to try to make that seem like something.

Third, is CBS kidding? Who is it that got shoved aside from the race because his cognitive decline was on display before the world in the first debate? That's the guy occupying the office right now. Where are the calls from CBS about transparency as to Joe Biden or about the incredibly anti-democratic move to shove him to the side? If CBS had any credibility, they would have been pursuing the question of Biden's cognitive health for the last three-plus years, as his issues were clear for all to see — if they cared to report on them.

Fourth, it looks like CBS is trying to push the new Democratic talking point. This looks like CBS doing propaganda work for the Harris campaign. CBS has some gall, too, with this in terms of their own lack of transparency when it comes to the editing scandal regarding Kamala's interview with "60 Minutes." They were nailed for editing her interview in a way that made her look better and eliminated much of a nonsensical word salad. We don't know what else they may have changed or taken out because they are refusing to even respond to the scandal. Catherine Herridge, Megyn Kelly, and others are now calling for the release of the full, unedited transcript of the interview. A new Harvard Caps Harris poll revealed that 85 percent agreed with this call.
