Kamala Harris finally got around to picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate after all the confusion and drama that Democrats were putting out there on the issue.
They decided not to go with the more moderate, pro-Israel Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, likely caving to their antisemitic left. But in that choice perhaps to hold onto the left and maybe Michigan, they may have just given away the state they really need -- Pennsylvania -- that they pretty much have to have to win, given the current estimates.
This choice may not go over well in the other Rust Belt states. They picked a guy who compared socialism to neighborliness and talked dismissively about the red states as being full of "rocks and cows."

Opinion: Walz Sidelining Shapiro Shows the Antisemites Have Won
JD Vance went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday to campaign and he had some killer responses on the selection of Walz. He let two women speak first on how the Biden-Harris failure at the border so harmed their families. Then at about 12:51, Vance spoke and blasted that failure of leadership. He does a great job from there to the end, and it's all fun.
He spoke about how Harris had failed to do an interview for 16 days since she was given the presumptive nomination on a silver platter, and he pressed the media to hold Kamala accountable. He said she was "running a basement campaign" and asked the press to "show a little bit of shame" for not digging deeper.
The first question he was asked after his remarks in Pennsylvania was about Walz and a potential debate, and he pointed out that given the machinations that the Democrats have pulled, we wouldn't really know if Walz wouldn't be switched out again, as Joe Biden was, until the Democratic National Convention.
Then Vance pointed out how radical Walz was, saying he thought his selection meant that "Kamala Harris had bent the knee to the far left of her party, which is what she always does." He said given she was a "San Francisco liberal," it made sense that she picked someone in a similar vein.
"To her credit, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz do make an interesting team," Vance said.
"Tim Walz was the guy who let rioters burn down Minneapolis, Kamala Harris was the one who bailed the rioters out of jail."
He said he and Trump were willing to go anywhere to convince people to vote for them. But if Harris wasn't going to even answer questions, then how would she be able to deal with hostile leaders across the globe? He said that was the minimum you should do if you sought the office.
Vance said he also thought it was disgraceful what the Democrats did to Josh Shapiro, saying they were treating his being Jewish as something wrong, and that was scandalous. He said he thought that was "insulting to Americans."
Vance went through a litany of Walz's issues and then called him the "double-down choice of failed leadership" and that choice was on the head of Kamala Harris. "She's fundamentally a radical herself, and she wanted a partner in crime."
He was asked about ending the wars in Israel and Ukraine, and he outlined how Harris had failed there as well, prolonging the war by not giving/supporting Israel's ability to fully finish off Hamas. As far as Ukraine, he said you needed a negotiator who Vladimir Putin would respect -- and that wasn't Harris.
Vance was asked about his childless cat ladies remark, which he said was a sarcastic remark made even before he ran for the Senate, and a woman in the audience shouted out that she was a childless cat lady who loved him. That sort of killed the question right there. He also said that he was arguing that the government should be more pro-family. But he said if the media wanted to get offended, he was more offended by the grocery prices that people were having to pay. "I'm offended that Kamala Harris opened up the southern border and allowed fentanyl to come into our communities...I'm offended she wants to be the people's president but wouldn't even answer tough questions."
