As RedState reported earlier, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has made her vice presidential pick, choosing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in an apparent bid to appease the Hamas Caucus wing of the Democrat Party.
In the week prior to Harris' pick, it had been widely speculated that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro was who she had decided on, speculation that ramped up Friday after the person running the Twitter/X campaign account for Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker tweeted "Proud to be back with so many leaders from across our region supporting @KamalaHarris for President and @JoshShapiroPA for VP!"
It was later clarified, however, that the tweet was merely "Parker's endorsement to show her support for Pennsylvania's governor," not a premature VP announcement.
As one would expect, Republican politicos and commentators alike are already reacting to the news, showing no mercy towards Walz and his radical left-wing positions.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis:
GOP Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN):
"It’s not surprising @KamalaHarris picked Tim Walz to be her running mate — he embodies the same disastrous economic, open-borders, and soft-on-crime policies Harris has inflicted on our country the last four years.
Walz is an empty suit who has worked to turn Minnesota into Harris’ home state of California, and solidifies this ticket's full embrace of a radical, America-last agenda."
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR):
"Kamala Harris is a San Francisco liberal, and Tim Walz is a self-professed socialist…The American people will make their decisions based on Kamala Harris’s dangerous record, but Tim Walz simply exposes that record once again."
Yep, and GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), are going to have a field day over this news.
